Roles and Responsibilities of Data Centre Technical Team

1) Attending day time and night shifts without fail.

2) Roles and Responsibilities of staff during day shift.

a) Assisting the Junior Network engineer in daily maintenance of NOC room in ground floor.
b) Attending the troubleshooting calls in Tech tower.
c) Assist the junior network engineer in daily maintenance of switches and routers present in
the different floors of Tech Towers.
d) Ensuring the proper functioning of switches and routers and others network cables for that
purpose in Data Centre as wells as in network racks on floors.
e) Attending the network and Troubleshooting classes organised by Project Manager
Operations.
f) Updating the software’s and antivirus application for all the systems in Tech Towers for a
secure network.
g) Maintenance of Daily Call register attended by the Technical Team.
h) Maintenance of Issue Register for all the network cables and switches issued for that
purpose.
i) Neat and clean maintenance of Data Centre and all the equipment present and attending
monthly maintenance.
j) Taking over responsibility of maintenance chart from the night shift person and handing
over to Junior Network Engineer.

3) Roles and Responsibilities of staff during night shift.

a) Taking over maintenance chart (check list) from Junior Network Engineer.
b) Checking all the network connectivity before taking over the responsibility from network
engineer.
c) Provide Remote support Project Manager and other server operating personnel for regular
maintenance and emergency issues.
d) Monitor the connectivity and functioning of all incoming lines such as APSWAN, BSNL
and VODAFONE every three hours.
e) Intimating the respective Service Provider in case of line down or network speed issues.
f) Scan the all networks if any new devices are inventory of black spots on available network
g) Checking all the Hosted applications over internet, to ensure whether the application is
working properly or not.
h) Contact the respective operating personnel in case of emergency in the functioning of PAC
or UPS or other hardware equipment.
i) To Maintain Remote support of all VPN and Network configuration issues at local police
stations like APSP and Vijayawada control room.
