I. ABSTRACT

“Who are we to determine who should live and who should die? Is it really human nature to

continue to explore? Or is there something bigger we are not seeing?”

A theory denying the existence of the country of Australia is well known. But the

suggestion that territories and cities are mere figments of our imagination is an idea that dates

back to the times of Ancient Romans. Many geopolitical and economic factors must be at play

for a government or entity to create another one. In the case of Australia, it was a historical one.

Australia does not exist. The signs were there the whole time: in what country are spiders more

poisonous than the snakes? How did we ever believe that kangaroos were a thing and not the

product of large scale genetic modification? The answer and how such confusion has developed

will be further explained in this paper. This paper is divided into distinct categories, each one

developing the ideas placed by the previous one. I hope that this paper clears many of the

misunderstandings that fuel the very fabric of our society today.

II. HISTORY OF THE LAND DOWN UNDER

Australia, as understood by the Round Earth Society, is the seventh continent of the

world. It is a large land mass off the coast of Asia and above Antarctica. It is known as the

largest island on the planet. Round-Earth Society members also believe that current trade and

other import/exports activities can be attributed to the large curvature of Australia.

The earliest inhabitants of Australia were said to have originated from Southeast Asia.3

Australia as a country was formally discovered and claimed by European colonists in the 17th

century under the English Crown. Later on, during the 1800s, Great Britain sent thousands of

convicted criminals (many were urban thieves) and political prisoners to Australia after a

questionably fair trial as their sentences. Though seemingly sad, many of these prisoners were

said to have lived good lives and becoming successful was common enough in the new territory

of Australia.

Great Britain kept Australia for both sending convicted criminals from an overpopulated

England and for gaining much-needed resources. Most notably, there was an increase of sheep

wool being exported to the motherland of England by those inhabiting Australia. It is also

claimed that back then, harvesting whales and seals off of the Great Barrier Reefs in Australia

were profitable as well.4 However, it was the wars in the 20th century that changed Australia.

The wide-spread destruction due to wars in the 20th century was built upon a multitude of

arguable factors. But none can deny the fact that there was a vast increase of Nationalism which

fueled much of the First and Second World Wars. Australia was also affected by this

nationalistic fervor and created its own commonwealth with independence from Great Britain.

This was strengthened by an announcement in 1941, during the heat of World War 2, that

Australia was in-fact a free and independent nation. It was during the Pacific Ocean theater of

World War II that Prime Minster Curtin said, “I make it quite clear that Australia looks to

America, free from any pangs about our traditional links of friendship to Britain”. The second

part of that statement entailed the separation between the Britain and Australia. Further, the

United States established its operations bases within Australia to show its support for their

independence.4

III. AN UNDERSTANDING OF AUSTRALIA THROUGH A CRITICIAL LENS

similar way, if you never talked to a presumed cousin, would your cousin exist?”

This discovery, believed by some to be a joke or even a conspiracy theory, that Australia

is not real has been circulating even more so in recent years with social media. But other

discoveries have been made in recent years as well. It turns out that the inexistence of Australia

is not the only theory of its kind many nonexistent countries and cities have been discovered.

High on this list is Finland, the country that some believe lies between Russia and Sweden, and

that allegedly fought a valiant rearguard action against Soviet invasion in the build up to the

Second World War. Finland, as Mr. Raregan explained, was merely a fictional creation designed

to meet the fishing quotas to aid the export of sushi to Japan from Russia.5 Further research

confirms this as true. But how can a country depicted as large and as populous as Australia be

considered fake? Simply looking at Appendix A makes it seem ridiculous that Australia could be

completely fabricated.6

In addition to Finland, entire cities around the world are discovered to be nonexistent as

well. The Italian region of Molise – a staggering population 300,000 – does not exist, apparently

as the result of an Italian mafia front for income assurance. At the same time, the Brazilians in

South America have had a theory that the north-western state of Acre doesn‟t exist or else is a

land that time forgot, still possibly populated by dinosaurs in an effort to mitigate the significant

loss of the rainforest or for research and development reasons.7 The painstakingly well-

evidenced and argued theory that a country or region does not or cannot exist turns out to be

some of the oldest „conspiracy‟ theories. As early as 1915, the Germans tried to invoke the idea

that the Westfalian town of Bielefeld (a population of 300,000) was a fictional city maintained

by the Komitet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti, HaMossad leModiʿin uleTafkidim Meyuḥadim,

the Chinese Ministry of State Security, or some combination of the three. This was possibly an

effort by the German Government to deter the Allied invasion of a major industrial base in

Germany during the First World War.

While many of these claimed locations are truly non-existing, with a large amount of

empirical data to back this up, there are also many obvious regions and cities listed as non-

existent in which there is not enough data to prove. The ever-growing list of fake locations is

oversaturated with real locations such as New York City and Machu Picchu. The reason for this

is so that world leaders and governments (as well as Australian and Finnish proponents) can

discredit real claims of non-existent locations. Flooding the market with bogus and absurd

theories is a standard government strategy to discredit legitimate conspiracies. If you do not want

people questioning the system to be listened to, you want them to be dismissed. In the case of

Finland, this is exactly what the Japanese fishing industry is trying to do. In the case of Australia,

that is exactly what the British government is trying to do, which will be explained later in this

paper.8

IV. REASONS FOR IGNORANCE

In these days of false news and mainstream-media conspiracies, information cannot

simply be taken for granted. Through the Guardian, a British Daily Newspaper, a diplomatic

source was contacted, who agreed to speak off the record and confirm what they could about the

existence (or otherwise) of Finland and Australia. The source directly confirmed that Australia

existed but was unable to provide similar confirmation for Finland.9 While this may be seen as

evidence for the existence of Australia, it is actually evidence that neither country exists at all.

Since the British have high stakes in keeping Australia as an existing country, they need to keep

Australia real in everyone‟s minds. Finland, however, is simply relevant for the Japanese and the

Russian government.

Australia is not real. It is a hoax, made for us to believe that Britain moved over their

criminals to someplace. In reality, all these criminals were loaded off the ships into the waters,

drowning before they could see land ever again. It is a cover-up for one of the greatest mass

murders in history, made by one of the most prominent empires. Australia does not exist. All

existing evidence countering this claim are well-fabricated lies and documents made by the

leading governments of the world. Any attempts to visit Australia are easily thwarted by many

key players. Even plane pilots are in on this, and have in all actuality only flown tourists and

visitors to islands close nearby – or in some cases, even parts of South America. Australia is one

of the greatest hoaxes ever created, and many people are still forced to live in this lie. In 1967,

the Australian parliament passed a law that makes the denial of the existence of Australia illegal.

So far 560 people have been prosecuted for Australia denial10. Join the movement today, and

make it known about the lie that Australia and evidence to support it are all ways to distract you

from the ugly truth that is one of the greatest genocides in history. 162,000 people were said to

have been transported to this imaginary land during a mere 80 years, and they are all long dead

by now. They never reached that 2nd chance. Stand up for the ones who died. Let it be known,

that Australia does not exist.11

This begs the question of why Great Britain continued to recognize Australia as an

existing country in the years leading up to its “independence”. As said before, Great Britain had

been suffering from overpopulation and a deficiency of resources. With the growing power of

the Spanish and French trade network, Great Britain took advantage of piracy in order to

supplement its population. By using Australia as a front, Great Britain was able to steal large

amounts of material and spices from other ships and supply its population while maintaining its

reputation as a global superpower. With Australia, Great Britain was able to keep its reputation

as the an empire where “the Sun Never Sets”. When Australia became too troublesome to

manage for its gain, Great Britain orchestrated its independence, thereby killing two birds with

one stone.

V. A SOLUTION

Hundreds of people over the past few years have been stigmatized over the belief that

Australia does not exist and this trend is only likely to continue absent an acceptance of a

grander acceptance.12 The continued suppression of this message is the end goal of the current

Round-Earth Society and will prevent a more profound understanding of the Universe and the

world we live in today. This stigmatization of believers should not be the only reason to rethink

the world. It is the deaths of those people who never reached their 2nd chance that should be

remembered as well.

Rethinking the current geopolitical orientation of the world can provide a more wide-

spread acceptance. The ontology of the current world is entrenched with normative

understandings of how the world works. Only through individual changes of mentality can we

provide a firmer grasp of Australia and our entire Southern Hemisphere. We must rethink how

we view and situate ourselves around modern viewpoints and challenge predispositions. It is

only then that we can provide a hope for a future understanding of why Australia was fabricated

and to prevent further inhumanities. As said before, we must stand up for the ones who died. Let

it be known, that Australia does not exist.
