CURRICULUM VITAE: Matheus Colli-Silva

(last updated on Jan 02, 2019)

KEYWORDS: plant biodiversity, biogeography, systematics, conservation,

biodiversity perception.

RESEARCH INTERESTS:
My major interests are the study of systematics and plant biodiversity patterns, how they are biased,
collected and documented, towards a more effective conservation on the “era of big-data”. I am
currently focusing my studies in the tropical plant family Malvaceae, particularly studying
taxonomy, distribution patterns and conservation of the former members of “Sterculiaceae”.
Concurrently, I also have interest on biodiversity perception and plant blindness.
