Agreement for Granting of Local Workstation Administrator Rights

When requesting Local Administrator Rights on, you must read and understand what is stated in this agreement.

1. Rules of Usage

1.1 Installation and removal of software

§ I will NOT remove, change or disable any Siemens standard software, for example SMS client, Hard Drive
Encryption or Anti-Virus software.
§ I install only Siemens business related software approved by my management.
§ I ensure that all software installed is legally licensed by my business unit and auditable licensing records are
maintained.
§ I am fully responsible for all security vulnerabilities and network impact that I introduce.
§ I am responsible for applying security patches and related software updates for my installed software.
§ I will adhere to security measure plans and checklists provided at https://www.cert.siemens.com/rules/dbms &
https://www.cert.siemens.com/rules/webserver when I install SQL, Oracle databases or Web server
§ I will not install and execute the following or similar software:
· Internet relay chat or other internet messaging programs; except the corporate standard messaging
program
· Malicious software such as hacking or password cracking, port or network scanning, key-logging, sniffing
or other malicious programs
· Any Peer-to-peer file sharing, Cloud Storage, Games or Entertainment software
· Any remote control software that is not approved by Siemens IT
· Pirated software or illegally obtained material

1.2 Security and network settings

§ I will not change/remove local policies or security logs & settings

§ I will not add any users to the local machine and or the local administrators group
§ I will not create new security groups on the local workstation
§ I will not change network settings including I.P. Address while connected to the corporate network
§ I will not remove PC from the Siemens domain, a charge may apply to re-add to domain
§ I will not tamper with the installed SIEM software that may be installed as part of compliance

Please Check:
 I have read, understood and agree to comply with the conditions specified above. I understand that violation
of any of the above policies may result in disciplinary action, also that the approving manager will be notified
and local administrator rights revoked if these conditions are not followed.
