Compilation Item 2 – 6 are classified by regions: central (including Bangkok), north, south, and

Data collection :
Item 1: The Ministry of Tourism and Sports collects data from the Immigration
Bureau Office and calculates under a recommended compilation process by the
World Tourism Organization.
Item 2-6: The Ministry of Tourism and Sports collects data from the
Accommodation Occupancy Survey every month in all provinces with its target
response rate at 30%. The survey covers all types of accommodations (including
hotels, guesthouses, resorts, etc.) and all rental rate ranges, which can be
classified to 5 ranges: 1) less than 500 bahts, 2) 500-999 bahts, 3) 1,000-1,499
bahts, 4) 1,500-2,499 bahts, and 5) higher than 2,500 bahts.
Data compilation :
Item 2-6: The Ministry of Tourism and Sports compiles the survey results with
weighting adjustment by the number of accommodation rooms of the survey
respondent of the region and of the country as a whole.
