PERFORMANCE
Two super-clear OLED displays for on-stage clarity, Seamless Transitions when changing
programs/sounds, extended Split functionality with optional crossfade, and the addition of the
new Song List Mode makes the Nord Stage 3 more intuitive and flexible than ever before for
the live performer.
The Nord Stage 3 has three sound generating sections; Piano, Organ and Synthesizer, all of
which can be used simultaneously. Furthermore, the Nord Stage 3 has 2 separate panels
allowing you to have 2 Pianos, 2 Organs and 2 Synths plus Effects at the same time for

SEAMLESS TRANSITIONS
The Nord Stage 3 features automatically seamless transitions when changing sounds or

The Nord Piano 4 combines our premium Triple Sensor keybed and
Virtual Hammer Action Technology with new performance features such as

By adding a third sensor to the keybed, key movements can be determined
with stunning precision. The result is a keyboard action that handles dynamic playing with
amazing control, at any velocity level. The Nord exclusive Virtual Hammer Action Technology
simulates the hammer movements in a Grand Piano, delivering outstanding authenticity and
dynamic response.
The keybed has added weight for improved dynamic control providing authentic piano touch
and feel. The individual Fatar keybeds are meticulously calibrated at the Nord factory to ensure
an even response over the whole range.
PIANO SECTION
The Nord Piano 4 features 1 GB of memory dedicated
to the exclusive sounds from the Nord Piano Library
carefully selected for their specific and individual
character. The ever expanding Nord Piano Library is
filled with uniquely sampled acoustic and electric instruments, with an
outstanding range of velocity levels allowing for exceptional dynamic
control.
The Factory Bank features 6 Grand Pianos, 5 Upright Pianos, 11 Electric
Pianos, Clavinet and Harpsichords. Replacing the sounds in your Nord
Piano 3 is simply a matter of dragging and dropping files in the Nord
Sound Manager for Mac and Windows.
SAMPLE SECTION

ORGAN SECTION
The Electro 6 features the B3 Tone Wheel and Rotary Speaker
simulation from the award-winning Nord C2D Combo Organ, as
well as 2 Pipe Organ models. The Organ section also includes a
new B3 Tone Wheel Bass with classic 16’ and 8’ bass drawbars
in the left hand.
A new Dual Organ mode provides quick access to dual manual
setups and offers great overview and control of the drawbar
settings for both the Lower and Upper manual.
The Farfisa* and Vox* simulations capture the behavior and
unique response of the original vintage classics. The Nord
Electro 6D 61 and 73 features physical drawbars and can

OSCILLATOR SECTION
The Nord Lead 4 is a subtractive synthesizer with 2 oscillators per voice. All the classic wave-
forms are present, Saw, Square, Sine, Triangle, Pulse, PWM, Wavetables as well as classic
FM and Hard/Soft sync modulation. The Unison mode lets you stack up to 4 voices for added
analog thickness.
MODULATION AND ENVELOPES
Nord Lead 4 features two very flexible LFO-sections per slot. Each LFO can easily be
synchronized to the Master Clock and assigned a desired time division. The expanded
modulation section offers 6 possible destinations including effects. Dedicated ADSR envelopes
for Filter and Amp gives you full creative control.
ARPEGGIATOR
The classic Arpeggiator with Up/Down and Poly modes can be synced to the LFO and Delay
using the Master Clock. The Arpeggiator can also be combined with the new Patterns and
Impulse Morph buttons for endless possibilities.
FILTER SECTION
The filter section features a dedicated envelope and 6 filter types
including 12/24 and 48 dB Low Pass, High Pass filter and two stunning
emulations of the transistor ladder filters from a certain legendary Mini
and the TB. A dedicated filter Drive can distort the waveform further
before it passes through to the effect section.
IMPULSE MORPHS
In addition to our regular Morph functionality, the Nord Lead 4 features
Impulse Morphs – a simple, yet universal concept that lets you alter a
sound instantaneously. Just hold down an Impulse Morph button and
turn the desired knob(s) to the desired alternate value!

MASTER CLOCK SYNC
At the heart of the Nord Lead 4 is the Master Clock controlling the global
tempo. The LFO, Arpeggiator and Delay can all be synchronized to the
Master Clock and the tempo is easily changed globally with a Tap-tempo
button or controlled by an external MIDI clock.
EFFECT SECTION
Each of the 4 slots has its own dedicated effect section with great
sounding Drive, Crush, Talk, Comb Filter and Compressor effects, plus
Delay or Reverb.

THE NORD STORY
IT ALL STARTED BACK IN 1983...
when founder Hans Nordelius created the innovative Digital Percussion Plate,
soon to become the classic DDrum that played an essential part of the 1980’s
electronic drum sound.
In 1995 the world’s first Virtual Analog synthesizer, Nord Lead was intro-
duced. One year later co-owner Magnus Kjellander joined the company and
played an essential role in developing the revolutionary Nord Modular that was
released in 1997.
The modern classic Nord Electro was released in 2001 combining vintage The Nord Crew with the brand new Nord Electro 6 and Nord Piano 4 fresh from
the assembly line.

The Nord factory is located in the heart of Stockholm with only a staircase
between development and the production area. Each Nord instrument is
