Label Styles

Labels are used in conjunction with Point Objects, Lines, Curves and Spirals. Each set of
standards has some typical label styles that can be utilized and modified as needed.
The path to the folder containing the label styles is: …\data\labels

Project Prototype Structure

The user should start projects in one of the following ways:

Page Ð 13
1. As you create a new drawing, use the Create Project button
2. Through Projects > Project MaLDD(2)LDD(3LLDDnager you can use the Create New
Project button.
Do not use Windows explorer to create project folders. If a project is created this way the
project settings and standards will not be followed.
When creating a new project, the Project Information field should contain a Project Number
to easily identify the project.
The Project Description field should contain the Project’s Address and location. Best case it
will contain a Street Address, City, State, Zip, POC (Point of Contact), and POC Phone
number. At a minimum the Street or nearest road intersection, and county or city and state
should be used.
The Keyword to be used when creating the project could be any string of words that helps
identify the project. An example might be the Project Name, using Underscores for the
separation of the Name. You can also use several keywords, separated by commas, such as
client name, project street name, county, etc. (See Figure 2)

Figure 2
As a project is created the project subdirectories will automatically be created as a result of
selecting the appropriate Land Desktop Project Prototype. The following Table describes the
Subdirectory structure created using the project prototypes:
