THE ROLE OF STUDENT IN THE NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The respectable judges of English Speech in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darus Salam.

The honorable teachers and the students who are happy.

Firstly, let’s thank and pray unto our God Allah SWT who has given us some blessing and mercies so
now we can meet and gather in this event without any troubles.

Secondly, may Sholawat and Salam always be given to our prophet Muhammad SAW, who leads us
from the darkness to the brightness, from stupidity to cleverness, from Jahiliyah era into Islamiyah.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen.

I feel happy because I can stand here and meet you of all in this place.

In this opportunity I would like to give speech under the title: “THE ROLE OF STUDENT IN THE
NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT”.

 Ladies and Gentlemen.

As Islam student in Global Era, we have the heavy duty to reach our aims. We must face
competition not only in Regional but also in National even International. We must have skill in
all of fields. Therefore, we must learn all of fields as well as in science, society, Technology and
art. But it is very important is the Religion Field.

 The honorable audience, especially my friends, the Islam Students!

In the 100 years of Nation Awakening, we must increase the sense of human to nation situation
and Islam situation. In present, we may have a high fanatic feel but we also must have a higher
respect feel to other religion. The pluralism doesn’t make us breakaway. But our plural in our
country makes Indonesia be richer and more beautiful, doesn’t it?

 My friends who are happy.

Let’s prepare ourselves to face global competition by increasing quality of our education, both of
science and religion. In order to, we can be respected in not only regional but also in National
even in International. Many things we can do to role in development. We can take some
examples; several Moslem students can donate their prestige like Taufik Hidayat in sport Field,
Agnes Monica in Art Field. We certain still remember of the good order for the young generation.
It says:

The meaning is: “The young generation! In your hands, the future of nation and the life of people
need your participation.”
Therefore, Indonesia and Islam need the students are not only smart but also honesty, skillful,
responsible and always trust in Allah, Muhammad, Al-Qur’an and the Unique Islam teacher.

That’s all what I can explain to you in this opportunity. If you find some mistakes of my speech,
I do hope you forgive me.
