Currently, Raymond Lucas is a Management Consultant,
across a variety of business sectors. Ray serves as a Mentor
to both youth and adults in his local community and across the
nation. As a three term President of 100 Black Men of
Maryland, Inc., Ray led program expansion for community
youth during some very tough economic times. His seven
year association with the IDEA Partnership through his service
to 100 Black Men of Americas Education Committee, has
provided Ray with the unique opportunity to work side by side
with some of the best K-12 Educational Leaders in the world,
developing resource materials on crucial topics like
Disproportionality in Special Education, Response to Intervention (RTI,) Autism, Universal Design for
Learning (UDL,) and Leading by Convening (video) A Blueprint for Authentic Engagement
(document.)

For over 30 years, Ray was on the cutting edge of business and technological innovation in the
Information Technology sector, through an array of technical, professional and Management roles at
Westinghouse Defense Electronics, Gould, Eastman Kodak and IBM.

Ray has received countless awards for his work as a community leader, including several Presidents
Volunteer awards, an Aetna Magic Touch Community Service Award, from the Magic Johnson
Foundation, and the Carrying the Torch of Success Award presented by Delta Sigma Theta
Sorority. Rays commitment to mentoring is well represented in a November 18, 2008 Boston Globe
article, Obama Lifts Ceiling of Dreams for Black Men. Ray was recently honored as one of the
2013 Fox 45 Baltimores Champions of Courage for his community work performed in the context
of serving Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.s Dream. Bmorenews.com also recognized Ray with a 2013
Black Capitol Award for his support of Baltimores Black Businesses and Youth Entrepreneurship.

Ray is a graduate of the Executive MBA Fellows program at Loyola University in Maryland. He is also
a 2007 100 Black Men of America Leadership Development Institute Fellow and 100 Think Tank
participant. A Baltimore native and graduate of the famous Frederick Douglass High School, Ray is
also an avid photographer with some of his work highlighted on the Baker Artist Awards site.
