Switch & be implemented in existing distance protection
relays of 220KV lines. Further this scheme shall also be
implemented in all the M1 & M2 Protection Panels
5 SWITCH ON TO FAULT being commissioned in place of single M1 Protection
Panels.

As per NRPC Guide lins 220 V line protection system

should be provided with PLCC Channel for protection
signaling & carrier inter tripping. UPPTCL should provide
(where not available) and restore PLCC Channel and
Protection Coupler at the earliest.

.

(5) OVER LOAD ALARM √ over load conditions.

Over flux relay should be provided to protect the

trasformer during rise in system voltage for prolonged
period causing over excitation and heat of core and
(6) OVER FLUX
√ windings. First stage with fixed time delay for alarm and
PROTECTION second stage with inverse characterstic for tripping.

(A) 110V, 300AH, Battery set no. 1-certain cells are

indentified with low specific gravity, high internal
inpedence and low voltage. Battery condition is
inadequate.
(B)
110V, 300AH, Battery set no. 2- certain cells are
indentified with low specific gravity, cell voltage, high
internal inpedence and low voltage. Cell no. 19 has been
removed from Battery set. Battery condition is
inadequate.
(C) 48V,
300AH, Battery set no. 1- certain cells are indentified
STATUS OF DC SUPPLY with low specific gravity, high internal inpedence and
9 SYSTEM low voltage. Battery condition is inadequate.

(D) 110V, 300AH,

As on 02.01.2019

Remark

There are 04 nos. of 220 KV lines :-

i.e. 220 KV Moradabad, Chandausi (Formerly
Badaun),NAPP,Gajraula lines.
220KV NAPP line- M-I & M-II
Protection Panel for 220 KV NAPP line has been commissioned on
dated 28/12/2016 .
Rest of the Three lines have Single M1 Numerical
Protection.
Requirement for rest of the lines has been submitted by EE, ETD,
Sambhal to UPPTCL HQ.
There is provision of enabling Back up O/C & E/F Protections in M1 &
M2 Main Distance Protection Relays. As per present practice back up
O/C protection is not being implemented on Transmission lines
however Direction Back up E/F Protection shall be commissioned in M1
& M2 dual Protection Panels and for this protection separate CT core
shall be used and one of the two protection cores of line CVT shall be
used as present CVTs are of 03 cores i.e. 02 protection & 01 metering.

A/R of all the four lines are functional in the Protection Relay.

PSB is blocked for all lines for all Zones except Zone 01.
SOTF feature is enabled for all lines. SOFT Scheme with inclusion of TNC
switch implemented in existing distance protection relays of 220KV
lines.
Further this scheme shall also be implemented in all the dual M1 &
M2 Protection Panels being commissioned in place of single M1
Protection Panels.

(A) PLCC of 220KV NAPP is functional for Data as well as Protection.

(B) Data of 220 KV Moradabad line is running through fibre

optic, protection also connected to FOTE(fibre optic terminal
equipment) at sambhal end, connection pending at moradabad end.

(C) Data and protection of 220 KV Chandausi line(Formerly Badaun) is

made functional through FOTE. Carrier send facility was not available
in the relay earlier and will be configured soon.
(D) Protection of 220 KV Gajraula line also
connected to FOTE at sambhal end, connection pending at Gajraula end.

SEL Make 220KV Bus Bar Protection with LBB feature has been
received at 220 KV Sambhal Substation & is likely to be commissioned
by end of feb-19.
