Creating Profiles
By default, RhinoGold has 20 different profile styles, but we can create our own ones.
Exercise:
1. First, draw a curve like the example. The size is not
important. The profile must be a curve, if we model
more than one curve, remember to join them. we can
use the AutoConnect command.
2. Open the User Folder Manager in the Profiles tab and click on (+) icon.
3. Select the curve we have previously drawn.
4. Write a name for our profile.
5. We have saved our profile and now, it’s in the
Ring Wizard ready to use on our next ring.

Remember that profiles are 3dm files that are in the Profiles folder from your User fold-
er. You may share with other users

This command allow us to scale rings in multiple sizes with the possibility to
keep areas from being scaled.

8. Click on the OK button, and we will see in the tree, there is the dynamic profile,
and of course, we can edit it!
Important Note
Each own region is saved in a file with its name. Those files are saved in the User Fol-
der. Remember, we may open the User Folder by clicking on the Open User Folder
icon under the User Folder Manager.

We can define these values di-
rectly in the model with the
gumballs, press Shift key when
changing the values to apply
the changes to all of the cutters.
Head Studio
This command allows us to create our own parametric and editable Head.

Prong Studio
1. Select a gem.
2. Define the intended profile.
3. Define the material.
4. Define the values in the parameters.
5. Press the validation button to add the prongs to the
document.
Prongs in Line
This command allow us to place prongs along a line of gems.
