It was Hugo Munsterberg who published a number of

essays on psychology and crime in the New York Times

magazine (1908), who said “my only purpose is to turn
the attention of serious men to an absurdly neglected
field which demands the full attention of the social
community

An idea just occurred to my senses upon which I must express concerning

the African-American Intellectual. Given, such strides and renderings since
our arrival we have merely scratched the surface concerning the dual nature
of our rise. 500 years of oppression can carry an extremely amount of
frustration upon the psyche of our mental aspirations. As a seed goes forth
into the earth to yield its harvest so is the African Intellectual a mere seed
progressing from its dark stages of maturation. In a quite exquisite feat of
Brilliance the creator planted Apollos to water our seed while he gives the
increase. “While the earth shall remain, there will always be seed time and
harvest”. The question posed by our Community of African Intellectuals is
when will that harvest come?

Why do we still allow sense comparisons to deviate us from the intellectual

progress that still has to be made in the earth? As an afterthought, the USA
is but a mere mental model and inspirational portal that is only helping the
Black Intellectual to progress into his season of Genius. What goes up must
come down. Our natural laws of gravity dictate the flow and ebb of source.
The intelligence then begins to grow based on the vibrational frequency of
our ascension. The beauty of this entire process is that we are still a work in
progress. The progressive ideals of our former Intellectuals carry a deeper
significant to the plight of our dual nature of “whiteness” and “Blackness”.
There is no question that both ideologies are at play. It’s supposed to be this
way. The creative genius of man garners a split atom of probability that
infuses his mental makeup with ambiguity. We got to never hang our hats on
what the mainstream at large synthesizes about inaccurate, statistical
inferences of lopsided means.

Something, is at work far greater than the man can imagine, and we must do
our part in being about to capture the essence of what spirit is calling for. It’s
an imperative that we listen and follow the directives of those things that
appear in the thinly veiled arena of silence. The demarcation of our
ideologies should not suffer based on the premise that our presence is
offensive to fear. To study the nature of a psychological womb is to think
creatively about the future of the Intellectual’s next step. In other words,
progression and pain should only be the creative synthesis of a dynamic duo
concerning creative thought. Never again, should you imagine the
impediments of an intellectual based on his probability. His nature doesn’t
exist in those terms and you lame his genius. To solve the problem of words
that debilitate the soul and cripple the urgency to dance, we must finish this
stage of “creative evolution”.

Whenever time is fixed upon a people regarding where they should be, in
relation to those who occupy the same space, creative responses and snap
judgements occur causing the thinker to think less about the process and
more about the impending dangers that surround his home. In real time, the
mental brutality, and communal degradation that plagues the African
substance is real and cannot be a distraction from the truth. Fire burns if
engaged in its process to long, water drowns without a proper understanding
of its power, and so too does a rushed evolution hamper the ability of an
intellectual to leisurely prescribe himself to the mental pursuits that can
change his generation. At once we must allow for the notion to suffice that a
creative process, can become a mainstay that doesn’t allow the daily
responsibility of life to dampen his creative energies and subtle thought
forces.

Man must be given the opportunity to separate from that which would kill his
intellectual abilities to reason. Upon birth, the rational thought must be
placed regarding the nature of a child’s ability to walk on water. Is he a
genius? Are we raising the consciousness of his soul as an intellect? What
promises or sway should we hold to the very fact of his being? The
importance if such notion helps us to free time as a restriction concerning
the development of his creative abilities. Born, as a thinker he will breathe
his first breath of the cosmos as a problem-solver working hand in hand with
the creator for a special purpose that is beyond human comprehension.
Every generation that is being visited is producing another piece of the
puzzle. The lack of knowledge concerning these feats will end in destruction.

The soul is born ready and not the other way around. The gifts of the child lie
in the hand of the father waiting the arena for full manifestation. Somehow,
man must preserve and conserve his strength for the next 7 generations. If I
should so elaborate I am meaning that man’s strength lies in his ability to
garner the bigger picture of his seed that was planted in the earth eons ago.
Not that “Big Picture” thinking that considers what’s going on in the world at
any given moment. But, a perspective concerning the stages of development
man has to traverse before any true manifestation can come forth. The
process is all about discovering the genius that has been buried in the cells
and DNA structure of man’s being. So much more work has to be done in
regard to accessing the information that will come only as a disciplined mind
listens and writes from his heart. The truth is present but its hidden under
centuries of outdated philosophies, and many different intergenerational
curses. The mind must be opened and explored for a second time outside of
what already exists concerning the brain and its function.

The perspective is childlike in nature regarding the mining of truth. It’s that
pearl of a great price waiting to be explored. That giving up all ideologies
that would keep the minds stick based on the information that currently
exists. All truth deserves applause but the realness of life extends from what
is still being cooked up in the consciousness of man. What currently exist is
beautiful in all its splendor but soon will fade into oblivion So, what is the
blessing of a childlike state of mind you ask? It’s the openness of thought to
continue to become a stream of consciousness for mankind to digest. I am
still convinced that anther Bible will come forth in about 2600 years. Again, I
make my point based on no man knowing the day or time when the
intellectual truth for another dispensation of time shall come. What we
currently understand is but the ramifications of the last 8000 years of
understanding. Again, time in this matter isn’t the reality of the situation.

We are dealing with a creator who produces in a dimension that dispels the
myth of intellectualism. The word intellectualism is an oxymoron connotation
to the cosmological structure of divinity. Remember, I am writing from the
heart so the ideals are but musing that needs further explanation and
reasonings. Could my life take on more of a mysterious flow? I hope so,
because I wouldn’t be limited by what I can see in this maze of physical
illusion. Again, I am mere translator for the spirit that is wanting to speak to
all of humanity. I am literally tuned into a channel from the divine in which
wants to express through me. The beauty of this all is that I am being
obedient to those hidden dimensions in my mind which seeks expression. To
the African Intellectual, who dares to defy such odds I would like to say that
you are supported and the green light has been given by the father.

Express yourself to the degree that makes you seem odd and aloof. It’s ok to
be and feel how you want to. We are not throwing away our rational to be
forthright and a walking expression of the divine, but our minds must
become open to the musing of our ancestors who speaks in riddles, parables
and sayings. Through, books, people, numbers, ideas, flashes of inspiration,
and life itself, we are given the opportunity to attune unto “what thus saith
the spirit of truth”. Sometimes, it is wise to depart from the mainstream
thought process of life and venture into your own world of ideals and
philosophical renderings. Who knows you may discover something that will
benefit your community and the world at large. The progressive idea
concerning your thought process is one that can change the consciousness
of a nation. You are revolutionary at heart, and thoughtful in disposition.
Come forth and let the world know what you are thinking even if it doesn’t
align up with the standards of others. Your writing is in its own category and
unique in statute. The wealth is in your hands and now you make take
advantage of such ideologies and bless the world with the thought of a new
way of thinking, learning and using the creative potential that resides in the
mind of man.

Padmore was the man to whom politically inclined Blacks gravitated. “Blacks have no powerful press, control no broadcasting stations,
sit in no parliaments of the world, and therefore have no means of voicing their grievances.” (Padmore, 1939) Padmore was a Black
Trinidadian who dedicated his life to giving voice to Black grievances. He was also at the center of the circle of Black writers and
intellectuals that Abrahams joined upon his arrival in London who struggled for Black recognition, visibility and the right to be seen as
political agents of their own destiny. According to Abrahams “George Padmore was the most important contact most of us when you get
to London, the first Black man you looked for was George Padmore”¦pioneer of communication.” (Abrahams, Documentary) Together
these writers, including African Americans such as W.E.B. Du Bois and Richard Wright, struggled against marginalization in the public
sphere. These African intellectuals had Pan-Africanist sentiments and worked to bring about a world free from European rule. It was
among this group of intellectuals that Abrahams moved away from Marxism and towards Pan-Africanism – his first political transition in
his overarching quest for freedom.
