How to spend energy : Deck Heroes is all about optimizing your energy use. This is especially
important for new players, because if you just level up recklessly you’ll end up finding that some game
modes get increasingly hard. Therefore, it’s best to take it slowly in order to get most benefit out of
your controlled level progress.

First of all, It’s important that you don’t waste energy on trying to complete too difficult Explorer’s
Gate stages. If you feel that certain stage is too difficult for you just leave it and return later with
stronger deck. Secondly, only explore shards of creatures that are useful to you (deck, melding or
unsealing). Lastly, only do mazes that have worthy rewards. It’s probably best to start doing mazes
only from map 4 onwards, because then you start getting 3-star essence as a reward. Maze 4 is
especially good because it’s one of the short mazes (40 steps). Before maze 4, energy is better spent
for exploring and for getting evolve material from chambers. Check maze rewards form here (mazes 8
and up reward 2 4-star essences plus random creature from 3-star and up).

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Explore: Exploring is one of the most important features in the game, because it allows you to gather
up powerful 3-, 4- and 5-star creatures relatively easy. It’s also the most efficient way to gather up
good creatures to use as melding masters. As a beginner player, your main focus should be to gather
shards of creatures that can be used to unseal those powerful 5-star creatures.

In our opinion, the most important unsealable 5-star creature is Thalassa because of his Recycle skill
(allows you to resurrect creatures from graveyard back to play). Another useful unsealable creature,
available in early game, is Spider Queen. She has Immunity 9, which blocks most of the incoming
magic spells including those nasty Instakills and Disposals. Both Thalassa and Spider Queen are good
creatures on their own, but once you hit late game their skills (Recycle and Immunity) are better off
melded to some other creatures. Overall, we think that all unsealable 5-star creatures are worth
unsealing at some point of the game. Only exception being Moon Guardian because it requires Oracle
to be sacrificed and Oracle is really important creature for Guild Map battles. Check more info about
unsealing from here.

There is always certain %-chance to get a creature shard you’re exploring. For Frost Rager the explore
chance is practically 100%, but as you start exploring those 4-star creature shards the rates go down
significantly. After recording 1000 4-star creature explore draws (200 full 5 draws) we got following
results:

0 shards: 51 times = 25.5%

1 shard: 72 times = 36%
2 shards: 60 times = 30%
3 shards: 16 times = 8%
4 shards: 1 time = 0.5%
5 shards: 0 times = 0%

Total 4-star creature shard draw % = 24.4%

Worthy creature shards to explore (maps 2-11):

Zombie King (2)

: Use to unseal Thalassa.

Frost Rager(3)
: One of the best 3-star creatures. Also the cheapest way to get Frost Armor for
melding. You can never have too many Ragers, so this is a good place to spend that excess energy.

Dark Assassin(3)
: Use to unseal Thalassa. Obtainable also from Guild Map.

Fire Lizard(4)
: Use to unseal Thalassa.

Troll Mage(4)
: Use to unseal Thalassa. Obtainable also from Guild Map.
TABLE OF CONTENTS

Night Terror(5)
: Use to unseal Thalassa.

Horned Beast(5) : High immunity allows horned beast to dodge magic spells including Disposal and
Instakill. Dodge 5 basically blocks every other physical attack and heal keeps your units alive longer.
Mix in some HP buffs and meld horned beast with recycle etc. to really make her the beast she can be.

Treant Weaver(5)
: Use to unseal Spider Queen. Obtainable from Hidden Dungeon / Guild Map.
Unlock Hidden Dungeon by beating level 5-7 on hard. Check the list of hidden dungeon from

: Use to unseal Spider Queen.

Oracle(6)
: The most important creature for Guild Map battles because of Bless 10 and Heal All.
Meld
suggestion: Frost Armor.

Frost Caller(6)
: Use to unlock Spider Queen. Obtainable from Hidden Dungeon / Guild Map. Unlock
Hidden Dungeon by beating level 6-6 on hard. Check the list of hidden dungeon info from

Paladin(7)
: Use to unseal Venom Tyrant. Really good damage dealer in Guild Map battles because of
Bullseye and Anger. Easily the best creature to finish off those pesky dodge creatures such as Fafnir
and Mimir’s Tree.
Meld suggestion: Frost Armor.

Moon Walker(7)
: Use to unseal Moon Guardian. Useful creature in the Explorer’s Gate stage 8-11.

Icy Mage(7)
: Use to unseal Moon Guardian.

Warband Chief(7)
: Use to unlock Venom Tyrant.

Sentry Angel(7): Use to unseal Moon Guardian. Good creature and good source for high level Frost
Armor. Obtainable from Hidden Dungeon / Guild Map. Unlock Hidden Dungeon by beating level 7-8
on hard. Check the list of hidden dungeon from

Meld suggestion: Immunity.

Tauro General(8)
: Use to unlock Venom Tyrant.

Arrow Brave(8)
: Use to unlock Ares. Useful creature in the Explorer’s Gate stage 8-11.

Tauros Elder(8)

that.

Grand Mage (10): Use to unlock Phoenix. Good creature to heal and block Retreat in Guild Map
stages.
Meld suggestion: Frost Armor.

Hellwolf (10): Weak creature on its own so you better meld that instakill to other creatures such as

Beginner deck build: New players get Flame Brave creature for free. Flame Brave is really powerful
magic damage dealing and it is recommended that new players build their first deck(s) around this
unit. Practically, you want to use Faen deck with HP boost creatures such as Frost Ragers. Also try to
unseal Thalassa and Spider Queen fast as possible to really ramp up the power of your deck.

Best ways to use resources:

Coins: Coins can be used to buy Bazaar items, enhance creatures, draw creatures and essence in altar
as well as to evolve and meld creatures. Melding is the most important place you can spend your
coins, because with melding you can create some of the most powerful creatures in the game.
Melding is really expensive though, so its better to store up lots of coins before trying it. Another
useful place to spend coins is coin draws in Altar. If you do full 5 coin draws you get one guaranteed
2-star essence plus creatures and/or more essence. Full 5 draws cost 22.5k coins, so it’s great place to
get decent EXP with relatively low amount of coins spent. After recording 1000 coin draws we got the
following results:

1-star creature: 672 times =67.2%

2-star creature: 80 times =8%
3-star creature: 16 times =1.6%
2-star essence: 226 times =22.6%
3-star essence: 6 times =0.6%

Gauntlet/Trial/Guild tokens: It’s best to concentrate on getting one 3-star and one 4-star hero first.
Choose heroes that suits your deck and style the best. 3-star heroes are much faster to acquire and
they can really help you progress in game. Try to choose a hero that is good at low skill levels so you
don’t need to invest lots of tokens to improve their skills. Your main goal, after all, should be to get
that 4-star hero as fast as possible. In addition of buying hero shards, guild mall tokens can be used to

TABLE OF CONTENTS

buy chamber material too. It’s is recommended to buy chamber 4 material if you want to evolve and
meld 4-star creatures and can’t yet complete chamber 4.

Gems ( info by ragnarok): Your main priority with gems should Alchemy. Alchemy is event where you
use certain amount of gems to get more gems in return. Once you hit 5k gem alchemy mark it’s safe
to start spending them (unless you’re pay to play and want to go for the 20k step). Best options to get
creatures would be Faction Boosters and Ultima Chests. Ultima Chests are golden maze chests that
you need to upgrade with gems. Upgrading costs 800 gems, but every chest is guaranteed 4-star
creature or better. In addition, every 10th Ultima Chest gives you guaranteed 5-star creature. Ultima
Chests start appearing from mazes 7 onwards. From Faction Boosters human booster has probably
the best cards overall because of Great Mystic, Balthazar and many awesome 4-star creatures. For
glory points go for raid revenge. Another worthy place to spend gems is Map Guides, which are
available from maze 3 onwards. Map Guide in maze 3, for example, gives you two 3-star creatures,
300k coins and 10 4-star essences only for 100 gems (if 90% discount sale is active). The deals only get
better in maps 4 and 6 because you get some really nice 4-star creatures. Map 5 guide is not worth
buying because creatures there are only mediocre at best.

Tournament tokens: Depending on your daily token income, the goods worth buying are 5* Hero
Shards, Gems and Energy. It’s best to concentrate buying only shards of one hero. Go for the hero
that best suits your play-style. You can check available 5-star heroes from
hero power analysis section
of this guide.

  3. HOW TO EVOLVE (
partly from wiki
):

Evolving is a process to take creatures past level 10 (up to level 15). Only 3-5-star creatures can be
evolved. Evolve requires materials from the chamber of the same race as the creature you want to
evolve. For example, to evolve 3-star mortii creature you need to have acquired 50 (level 1), 35 (level
2) and 20 (level 3) materials from the mortii chambers. You also need 360k coins for the 3-star
evolution.

To evolve 4-star creature you need to have 75 (level 1), 50 (level 2), 40 (level 3) and 30 (level 4) of race
specific materials plus 640k coins. You can also buy level 3 and 4 materials using guild credits in guild
mall. Like said before, after successful evolution you can start leveling your creature towards level 15.
Your evolved creatures also learn random level 1 skill as their 4th skill, which will be unlocked once
you reach level 15. The 4th skill can be changed by melding.

3-star evolution requires:

50/35/20 chamber materials plus 360k coins.

4-star evolution requires:

75/50/40/30 chamber materials plus 640k coins.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

5-star evolution requires:
0/100/75/60/50 chamber materials plus 1000k coins.

To change the 4th skill you need to have your creature (apprentice) evolved and ready for the meld.
You also need a master, from which the new skill is transferred to your apprentice. In addition, you
need one duplicate of the apprentice for every meld attempt. Its important to know that master is
consumed only after successful meld where duplicates are consumed after every attempt.

You can meld using coins or gems. The coins cost of meld attempt is either 300k + 20k for every skill
level or 600k + 40k for every skill level depending on the skill in question. With gems you get slightly
higher chance of success. Each skill has its own success rate, which is added to the expertise bar in
case of fail. Should this bar reach 100%, the next meld attempt will be 100% success no matter what.
All other times the meld success is dependent on the initial success rate (expertise bar progress
doesn’t affect the success rate until you reach 100% expertise). The best time to try melding is
definitely during 2x expertise event, which happens after every few weeks or so. During expertise
event you get double expertise every time you meld.

  4. CARDS TO EVOLVE AND SKILLS TO MELD:

You basically want to save your resources to evolve and meld those 4-star and 5-star creatures, but
there are several strong 3-star creatures too, which can make really useful cards after being melded
with the right skill. It is universally agreed that Frost Rager (Faen), Manticore (Mortii), Dark Witch
(Mortii), Flame Mage (Human), Border Ranger (Human) and Blood Warlock (Neander) are some of the
most useful 3-star creatures.

The skills are up to personal taste and you might have some specific situational creatures and/or skills
in mind that you want to use. That’s completely ok, but here’s some tips and suggestion how to make
the best out of your evolved cards.

First of all, always make sure you are getting the best possible version of the desired skill. It is
sometimes even worth it to use a 5-star master for the meld, especially if that creature is otherwise
useless to you. Use Deck Heroes Wiki to check which skills are available and which creatures have
what skills. Also note that all skills have certain meld restrictions. Some skills can be melded to 5-star
creatures only and some skills, such as sweeping blow, bullseye etc., cannot be melded at all.
Remember that you can check all these meld restrictions either from Wiki or from creature cards (see
example from below).

TABLE OF CONTENTS

The key focus of melding is to obtain the best possible skill synergy with the creatures you’re melding
and the deck you’re building. For example, you might want to increase the survivability or damage
output of your creatures by melding them with frost armor/block/immunity or battleblow/Bloodlust.
It goes without saying that some skill combos have better synergy than others, so here’s a few
suggestions for you to consider:

Rebirth - Instakill/Disposal/Recycle : Rebirth is really nice skill because it enables multiple use of skills
that would otherwise be single use only. Add Instakill or Disposal to Harbinger and with a little bit of
luck he can dispose/kill multiple enemies. Another option would be to meld Light Brave with Recycle.
Light brave has relatively high base hp and nice skill set with dodge and rebirth so he can potentially
stay in play for a long time recycling many creatures along the way.

Sweeping Blow - Battleblow/Bloodlust/Venoms Edge/Weakness/Life Sap/Sacrifice : Sweeping Blow

is unique non meldable skill that deals damage to target creature and any adjacent creatures. Because
Sweeping Blow can potentially hit up to 3 enemy creatures at once there are several skills that have
really good synergy with it. Battleblow and Bloodlust are always nice straight up damage increasing
effects, while Venoms Edge and Weakness are more suitable for specific decks builds. Venoms edge
can really help locking enemy down and Weakness combined with Wight’s Cripple and Cave Dragon’s
Fatigue can turn enemy creatures attack to zero in few turns. Life Sap enables major heal and Sacrifice
can turn your creature into formidable heavy hitting tank.
TABLE OF CONTENTS

Bullseye - Battleblow : Manticore is considered as one of the best 3-star creatures because of Bullseye
and Rebirth. Meld Manticore with Battleblow and he can basically one shot creatures (even those
with Frost Armor or Dodge). Rebirth can potentially keep bringing him back to play once defeated so
with a little bit of luck he can take out multiple enemies.

Immunity - Dodge - Recycle : In case you’re fighting against heavy disposal decks then immunity can
be a real lifesaver. You want your recycle creatures to defence against disposal while in hand and
against instakill etc while in play. Horned Beast has both Immunity and Dodge, so it’s quite common
to give Recycle to Horned Beast. Just try to stay away from creatures with Bullseye, because even at
level 15 the base hp of Horned Beast is very low (its always good idea to mix few faen hp boosters into
deck with Horned Beast and use Faen hero with hp boost skill).

Stone Skin - Recycle : In case you’re against heavy disposal decks then immunity can be a real
lifesaver. Only way to be 100% protected against disposal is stoneskin.

Sneak - Blaze : Sneak is a skill that increases damage if the target creature is inflicted either with Burn,
Poison, Freeze or Paralyze status effects. Sneak has best synergy with Blaze because once Blaze is cast
it inflicts all enemy creatures and lasts multiple rounds unless dispelled somehow. Second best option
is poison because it is not % dependant like Freeze and Paralyze statuses. Meld Royal Dancer with
Blaze and she’s almost guaranteed to get that attack boost every turn.

Frost Armor - Block

: Block has good synergy with Frost Armor because it reduces damage after Frost
Armor. With this skill combo you can reduce the incoming physical damage to zero in no time. Its
worth to mention that Block also stacks if you can get it from multiple sources.

Frost Armor - Maji Shield - Recycle

: If there is not much Disposal and Instakill in your opponents deck
then Swordmaster with Recycle can be really powerful card. This is true especially if deployed after
you have multiple creatures in your graveyard.

Faction HP boost : Great way to increase HP and survivability of your creatures. Especially useful in
dedicated faction decks.

We think that frost armor is the best overall skill to meld into your creatures. This is simply because
most of the damage in deck heroes comes from physical damage and frost armor can really increase
the survivability of your creatures. Frost armor is really useful skill in all game modes.

Deck Heroes: Rune Introduction & Management

Deck Heroes: Runes in a Nutshell

You can draw runes from Altar using either Glory Points or Gems. With Glory Points you can draw
efficiently up to 4-star runes. Even though IGG has confirmed that 5-star runes are also obtainable via
Glory Point draws we haven’t heard anyone pulling any 5-star runes yet. So if you’re looking to get
some 5-star runes it’s better to use Gems. With Gems you can get runes of any star level, but the %
for 5-star runes is really low. Keep in mind that Gem draws also provide higher chance of 4-star runes.

The statues in runes altar represent different ranks. Higher rank statues cost more to open, but they
also provide higher chance of getting higher star level rune. The advancing and returning between
statues seems to be completely random.

Statue 1 costs 50 Glory Points / 20 Gems

Statue 2 costs 100 Glory Points / 30 Gems
Statue 3 costs 200 Glory Points / 40 Gems
Statue 4 costs 300 Glory Points / 60 Gems
Statue 5 costs 500 Glory Points / 100 Gems

You can equip runes either from the enchantment menu or directly from the card you want to equip
runes into. After you have picked up the runes you want to equip remember to press that small
button that looks like a hammer hitting a gem for the final attachment. Equipping runes is free, but
keep in mind that removing them cost coins. There are also some restrictions when equipping runes.
First of all, you can only equip runes that are viable for a particular creature/hero. Frost Armor rune,
for example, can only be equipped to a creature that has the Frost Armor skill. Secondly, the same
type of rune cannot be equipped multiple times to a Hero or Creature. Therefore, you cannot equip
two different Protean runes onto the same creature. Finally, Hero runes can only be equipped to
Heroes and Creature runes only to Creatures.

Removing 1-star rune costs 10k gold

Removing 2-star rune costs 20k gold
Removing 3-star rune costs 30k gold
Removing 4-star rune costs 40k gold
Removing 5-star rune costs 50k gold

You can level up runes by pressing the rune you want to level and choosing Upgrade . You need to
sacrifice other runes in order to level up, so be careful not to waste any important runes. Creature
runes can be leveled with Creature runes and Hero runes with Hero runes. It is also important to
know, that runes may be leveled after they have been equipped to a card. When leveling runes with
runes that have already been leveled, all of the EXP is transferred to the rune being leveled so no EXP
is lost. Creatures with runes can be melded normally, but Creatures with runes equipped do not show
up in duplicates section.

  6. GUILD MAP INFO (with help of mortivore):

Doing damage, killing creatures and completing maps in guild map fights gives you Coins, Creature
Shards and Guild Mall tokens, respectively. You get coins equal to 5x the DMG you do up to 500k coins
per attempt. So, for example, by doing 40k damage you get 40k * 5 = 200k coins. You have 2 daily
guild map battle chances available for every map, so be sure to use them daily to gather as much
coins and other rewards as possible.

Some creatures and heroes are obviously better than others in guild map battles. Quite often you see
people wondering how their efficient arena deck is next to useless in guild map battles. Answer is
simple: Disposal, Recycle, Instakill etc. popular arena skills are totally useless in guild maps battles
because enemy creatures are immune to such effects. To build efficient guild map deck you first need
to concentrate on increasing your hero and creature survivability. The longer you can stay in battle
the more damage you can do.

One popular option (to increase survivability) is to use units that heal your creatures and/or hero.
Oracle, for example, heals both your hero and your creatures every turn while in play. Another
popular option is to use creatures and heroes with good defensive skills. Creatures with Frost Armor
and Block are obvious choices, but because enemy creatures have very high attack, frost armor is
considered to be the best defensive skill in guild map battles. Also it is good to remember that some
heroes can either heal themselves or summon creatures that take damage in behalf of their master.

After you have your defensive (tanking and healing) units ready you should think of ways to do as
much damage as possible. If you are able to stay multiple rounds in guild map battle, then DoT
(damage over time) effects such as Burn and Poison are good choices (remember that Burn effects
stack as long as they come from different sources). Another option would be to use creatures with

TABLE OF CONTENTS

damage increasing skills or creatures with atk boost against specific faction. In addition, just good old
heavy magic damage / lockdown creatures such as Flame Brave and Naga Mistress are always good
choices, especially if you can keep them alive for multiple turns.

Some creatures in guild map stages are more annoying than others because they have certain skills
that need specific measures to be countered efficiently. Fafnir and Ares, for example, are hard to hit
because they dodge physical attacks, Pontiff blocks physical damage because of Frost Armor and
Revenant / Archdeva throws your creatures back to deck because of Retreat. Another annoying
enemy skill is Curse because it makes your hero die faster. Luckily, all these skill can be countered
efficiently with specific creatures. Bullseye skill, for example, hits through both Dodge and Frost
Armor, Stoneskin prevents Retreat and Bless protects your hero against direct hero damage. Another
efficient way to counter direct hero damage is to use summoner heroes such as Berserker.

In addition to strong creatures, you also need strong heroes to build efficient guild map decks. Some
of the best heroes for guild map battles are Wight (4-star), Berserker (4-star), Devil Hunter (4-star)
and Zora Marauder (2-star).

Wight: Probably the most popular hero for guild map decks. His rage ability curses two enemy
creatures and does massive direct damage each round. Curse damage increases exponentially every
turn so the longer you can stay in battle the more damage the curse does. Just remember to avoid
damaging enemy hero, because enemy hero can then cast mantra which clears all negative status
effects including Wight’s curse.

Berserker : Berserker can summon up to three Boars which take damage in place of their master hero.
He can also learn both Full Alert (reduces physical damage of creatures in play) and Spiky Bits (reflects
magic damage back to attackers as direct damage), which are both really good skills in guild map
fights. Because of Spiky Bits, Berserker is most effective against magic damage decks.

Devil Hunter: Devil Hunter’s rage ability entangles enemy creatures and prevents them to use their
basic attacks (if their HP is below certain level). Devil Hunter is decent hero in stages where enemy
creatures have lost most of their HP. Just add few creatures with Bloodlust to increase your damage
output. Also remember to avoid damaging enemy hero, because enemy hero can then cast mantra
which clears all negative status effects including Devil Hunter’s Entangle.

Zora marauder: Probably the best hero for finishing up maps. His atk boost skill scales very well and
gets applied multiple times during guild map fight. Zora’s skill doesn’t have the best synergy with frost
armor though, because the atk increase gets applied only from the reduced damage.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Creatures for healing:

You need creatures with Heal All and Bless to heal both your creatures and your hero.
#1 Oracle - Aim for Frost Armor or Immunity as melded skill. Oracles are the best guild map cards in
the game, and should be farmed every day.
Decent replacements: Horned Beast with Bless, Bless Frost Rager and Block Blood Warlock. Blood
Warlock with Assassinate is also good choice for finishing those Fafnirs and Mimir’s trees.

Creatures to counter Retreat:

You need creatures with Stoneskin and/or Immunity.

#1 Fa Grand Mage - Grand Mage will heal your creatures as well as stop those nasty retreats ruining
your guild map runs.
#2 Bloodletter - self healing and stoneskin makes a good blocker
Decent replacements: Horned Beast or any Immunity/Stoneskin creature with survivability.

Creatures to deal damage:

You won’t be needing many damage dealing cards if you have chosen your hero wisely. This being
said, Sweeping Blow creatures with damage increasing skills are solid choice to ramp up damage and
Bullseye creatures are the best to take down creatures with Frost Armor and Dodge.
#1 Battleblow Techno Chief, Bloodlust Swordmaster and Frost Armor Paladin.

3-star creatures with really good guild map skills (for melding purposes):

Alert Guard (Battleblow 8)

Bloody Baron (Life Sap 7)
Troll Scout (Bloodlust 7)
Frost Rager (Frost Armor 3)
Troll Mage (Anger 6)

  7. HERO POWER ANALYSIS (2-star and above):

2-star heroes (only some are reviewed here):

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Zora Marauder : One of the best heroes in guild map battles because he can increase the attack of
your creatures. Recommended skill: Poison Gas
Elder Mawrek : One of the better 2-star heroes. His rage ability does decent amount of direct damage
and he heals himself for the double the damage done. Recommended skill: Poison Gas
Agni: Rage ability inflicts direct hero damage, so Agni has some use if you’re using curse deck.
Recommended skill: Agile
Defiler
: Rage ability decreases the attack of enemy creatures, so Defiler is decent hero in attack
reduction / curse decks. Recommended skill: Weaken or Shadow Hex depending on the use.
Captain Crook : Rage ability decreases the attack of enemy creatures, so Captain Crook is decent hero
in attack reduction decks (guild map).
Recommended skill: Faith Heal

3-star heroes:

Gladiator : Good hero to increase your overall damage output. Human heroes can learn Ice Shell skill
which can really help increase the creature survivability during the critical first few rounds.
Recommended skill: Ice Shell
Patriach : One of the better 3-star heroes overall. His rage ability does good amount of direct damage
and he heals your creatures too. His rage ability damage is based on the hp of the target creature, so
in guild map battles you almost always get the max damage in. Both human 3-star heroes have skills
which scale relatively good at ΔF of 13%. Recommended skill: Ice Shell
Poison Ivy : Ivy’s rage ability allows your creatures to reflect some of the incoming damage back at
your attacker as direct damage. Thorn Wall is one of the best 3-star hero rage abilities and it really
starts to shine in HP boost decks after getting some skill levels. Faen heroes can learn Agile skill which
really increase the creature survivability during the critical first few rounds.
Recommended skill: Agile
Bowmaster : Bowmaster is another solid hero with high damage hitting rage ability. At low skill rage
ability levels she’s better than Poison Ivy, but because Ivy’s skill scales way better than Bowmaster’s,
Ivy is better hero at high skill levels.
Recommended skill: Agile
Tauro Brute : Both Naender 3-star heroes can learn Spiky Bits which is hands down the best neander
hero skill. Tauro’s rage ability does more damage as compared to Legion, but he also damages himself
which means Tauro is not recommended option for guild map fights. Recommended skill: Spiky Bits
Legion : Better than Tauro in guild map fights. Recommended skill: Spiky Bits
Chaos Witch : Both Mortii 3-star heroes can learn undying which is hands down the best mortii hero
skill. Chaos Witch is best suited for hero attack deck because her rage ability does good damage to
enemy hero. However, she’s not good in situations where you don’t want to damage enemy hero (eg.
specific guild map battles). Recommended skill: Undying
Balrog : Good hero against recycle heavy opponents because his rage ability can destroy creatures
from enemy graveyard preventing them to be resurrected. Recommended skill: Undying

4-star Summoners : Each faction has one 4-star summon hero. What this means is that once
summoners rage meter fills up they can summon creature into battlefield. All summoners can have
only one summon in play, except Berserker, who can have three boars summoned in the battlefield at
the same time. Level 1 summons are generally quite weak, but once you level up hero skill and get to
level 5, the summons start to get very powerful. If you manage to reach level 10 skill, the summons
get ridiculously powerful. See skills and lvl 10 stats for each summon from below.

  8. SPECIFIC DECK BUILDING:

Direct hero damage (loses effect against high level high HP 4-star heroes):
The idea of this deck build
is to destroy your opponent before your opponent destroys your hero or your creatures. Destroy
enemy hero is also requirement in several dungeon map stages.

Stabthrough - This skill does damage to both the target creature as well as the enemy hero. Ursa
Major, for example has both Stabthrough and Frost Armor so he’s great tanking unit in hero damage
deck. Another good use of Stabthrough is to meld it to creature with Sweeping Blow for even higher
hero damage. Check the list of creatures with Stabthrough or any other skill from here
.
Voodoo - Deals direct damage to enemy hero once when played.
Discord - A random enemy Creature has 35 - 80% (30% + 5% x Rank) chance of attacking the enemy
Hero next round.
Curse - Deals 50-500 (50 x Rank) and 0.2% - 2.0% (0.2 x Rank)% of enemy Hero's max HP as direct
damage to the enemy Hero.
Godswill - Reduces enemy Hero Health by 20 - 200 (20 x Rank) for each enemy Creature in play.
Retreat - Sends the enemy Creature in front back into your opponent's deck. Basically this skill allows
your creature to send target enemy back into deck and use basic attack to hit enemy hero.
Hero : Agni’s (Faen) and Chaos Witch’s (Mortii) rage ability deals direct damage to enemy. Defiler rage
ability decreases the attack of enemy creatures hence making your curse creatures last longer in
battlefield (combine with Frost Caller, Blightghast and/or Cave Dragon for full effect). Wight and
Deathmort can learn Cripple skill which decreases the attack of enemy creatures. Mortii heroes can
also learn Shadow Hex skill which does direct damage to enemy hero.

Heal deck for gauntlet (works best on low hero levels): Gauntlet gets increasingly difficult as you gain
hero levels. Therefore, it’s best to try capitalize while you’re still low in level. The best way to get easy
wins in gauntlet, as low level player, is to use HP boost deck. Faen is really supreme on the hp boost
tactic as far as cheap and useful easy to obtain 3-star cards go. Frost Rager, for example, has both
Elven Salve and Frost Armor, so she can boost HP of other Faen creatures by 300 as well as reduce
incoming physical damage. However, it’s important to check your enemy deck before attacking in
gauntlet. Try to use lesser decks to soften up those opponents with many Disposal and/or Bullseye
creatures in their deck.

Physical damage resistance with spiky bits: Combine creatures that can block physical damage with
spiky bits hero and you’re set against both magical and physical damage dealing decks. Just remember
that for spiky bits to activate you need to have enough Neander creatures in play. Also try not to add
too many creatures with immunity (Spider Queen, Abaddon etc.) because if spiky bits lands on those
creatures they’ll just block incoming magic attacks and spiky bits doesn’t activate.

Disposal counter: Use lots of creatures with Stoneskin and Immunity. Alert Guard, for example, is
relatively easy to get 3-star creature with Stoneskin. Horned Beast and Spider Queen are easy to get
creatures with Immunity.

  10. LIMITED TIME SHARD EVENTS (info by mortivore):

Every now and then IGG releases limited time creature/hero shard events in Deck Heroes. These
events provide very good opportunity to get shards of some of the most powerful creatures and
heroes in game. So far IGG have released 3 different events:

Gauntlet Event
Trials Event
Chambers Event
Ultima Chest Event

The Gauntlet shard event (time span - from 1-2 days)

How does it work? You have a chance to obtain featured creature/hero shard(s) from completing
maps in the gauntlet. You can also buy shards from the Gauntlet token mall. Each shard in the store
costs 600 tokens. If you do not have shards available try refreshing the Token Mall.

How to maximize shards from the gauntlet shard event? Be sure to save a fresh Gauntlet try for
every day. When this event pops up, that will give you one extra attempt at the gauntlet. So clear
gauntlet, reset and save the try for the next day. Then when event starts you can clear gauntlet, reset
it and clear again.

How many shards can you expect to get from the gauntlet event? A full clear of the gauntlet gives
you 0 to 15 shards. 5 shards on average. Refreshing the Token Mall will give featured creature/hero
shard roughly 50% of the time.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Value of playing this event?
Good value for F2P if you can full clear gauntlet. OK value for P2W if you
also refresh Token Mall.

Tips and tricks.

Save Tokens for event, save a Gauntlet try.

The Trials limited time shard event (time span - from 1-2 days)

How does it work?

You have a chance to get featured creature/hero shards for completing trial stages
50, 55, 60 etc.

How to maximize shards from the trials shard event?

Simply just beat higher lvl trials.

How many shards can you expect to get from the trials event? Not many. If you clear trials 100, you
usually get around 3-4 shards. Refreshing Credits Mall might gives you a chance to buy featured shard
for 600 credits (lower chance than Gauntlet mall refresh).

Value of playing this even?

Not many F2P can clear high enough lvl for it to make any difference. P2W
can secure extra shards through credits mall - ok value.

The Chambers limited time shard event (time span - from 1-2 days)

How does it work?

You have a chance to get featured creature/hero shards for completing stages in
chambers - supposedly better chance at higher lvl chambers.

How to maximize shards from the chambers shard event?

Store energy from giveaways in your inbox
so you can try more times.

How many shards can you expect to get from the trials event?
Depends a lot on how much energy
you have stored and/or how much energy you buy. Some say chances are 5-10% for a shard - others
say close to 50%.

Value of playing this event?

You get some shards, but you will likely spend all you energy that day.
Might be good idea if you have a specific creature you want to evolve and have no material for it.

The limited time Maze Ultima chest event (time span - from 1-2 days)

How does it work? Upgrade golden chests in maze to obtain shards. You can get 1-4 shards from each
chest. Most likely you will get 1 shard, but sometimes its 2. In rare occasions you might be lucky and
get 3 or even 4 shards.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

How to maximize shards from the maze ultima chest shard event? First of all, beat as many maps on
explorers mode as possible to unlock all the mazes. Don’t fall for the temptation to clear mazes every
day, instead refresh maze 7-12 to store maximum number of golden chests on each maze. When
event start you will have a good start - opening all your stored chests first.

How many shards can you expect to get from the trials event? If event is 2 days, and you have
golden chests stored, you refresh maximum number of times (including buying resets) you can get
around 50 to 60 shards.

Value of playing this even? For all players, this is the event to wait for. Not only do you get lots of
shards, you will also get lots of 5 star simply from opening Ultima chests. Full sweep on ultima chest
event would cost you about 25k gems over 2 days. That includes 5 extra resets bought and opening
about 30 ultima chests.

  11. FUN STUFF, TIPS AND TRICKS:

Low might deck for easy glory points raiding: Your raid opponents are based on your deck power,
which means that using low power raid deck can bring you lots of easy glory points. One option would
be to use lots of strong magic damage creatures, wait for your opponent to deploy all of his creatures
and pummel them with magic damage (see example below).

Take full advantage of enemy retreat : Match your disposal creatures against enemy creatures with
retreat to enable multiple use of disposal.

Use retreat against clones in trials (and against summons in general)

: Retreat kills clones and
summons (if they don’t have immunity against retreat).

Gauntlet deck (thanks to [V.M]-Slippo for the info) : Your Gauntlet power is based on the highest
deck power you have ever saved or used in any aspect of the game. Typically the first opponent is ~1k
under your power with the 15th opponent being ~1k above your power. It doesn't matter if you clear
out all our decks, have low power decks, or anything else. As soon as you use a deck/save a deck with
high power, that gets saved to your Gauntlet power, which is how your opponents are selected. It is
always good idea to level useful cards to level 10 and use them to soften enemy decks before going in
with your main deck.

Gauntlet tips: When fighting against opponent with Venom Tyrant or any creature with Sacrifice skill
in his deck you can sacrifice your own low star heroes to destroy enemy creatures. Just choose one
hero and one creature (preferably creature with Stoneskin to counter Disposal) into your deck and
start the battle. Don’t deploy your creature and hopefully opponent gets tyrant in play and sacrifices
one of his own creatures before your hero dies. Repeat the process.

Another gauntlet tip is to use one hero and one or more creatures with either Instakill or Disposal.
Just deploy your Instakill/Disposal unit during the last round when your hero is about to die. You can
also use a bunch of Captain Crooks with Frost Armor skill. Pair this with a disposal card, take out
strong enemy card and have Frost Armor be casted 3 time so your dispose card lives through the fight.
Then just let your hero die.
Thanks to [V.M]-Slippo for the tip!

Gauntlet Tips for High Power Fight

Save Glory Points : You can store up to 50 messages in your mailbox, so it’s always good idea to claim
your guild wars and arena glory rewards only after you have acquired the hero you want to use the
points to. Also be sure to claim glory rewards and sell glory point cards only when someone has raided
you recently and you have your raid shield active.

Guild cooldown : If you leave guild you get 2 days cooldown period, but if you get kicked you only get
one hour cooldown period. Because of this it is basically possible to do guild map battles in multiple
guild. Just ask for kick and move into another guild.

In game name (IGN) : We see too many high level players with generic guest names. You know you
can change your IGN once for free from “My Profile”. My profile can be found from upper left corner
of the main screen.

Force close: You can restart badly started Gauntlet run by force closing and restarting Deck Heroes.
This exploit is especially effective when combined with the gauntlet trick described above.

STAR timing: The best time to buy STAR membership is during STAR-bonus events which are held
approximately once every two weeks. These events give you one free 4-star creature after STAR
purchase.

Free raid revenge

: Remember to use your free raid revenge daily to get some of lost glory points
back.

Lock your creatures: Remember to lock the creatures you need. After doing so you can easily
select all
consume unwanted creatures for EXP just by clicking in enhancement section.
