Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY)

• Launched: 11 October 2014


• launched by Prime Minister
• Main Objective: Provide insurance cover to rabi and kharif crops and financial support to farmers in
case of damage of crops.

Pradhan Mantri Gram Sinchai Yojana (PMGSY)

• Launched: 01 July 2015


• Main Objective: Irrigating the field of every farmer and improving water use efficiency to provide `Per
Drop More Crop’.
• Headed by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

Soil Health Card Scheme

• Launched: 17 February 2015


• Main Objective: To help farmers to improve productivity from their farms by letting them know about
nutrient/fertilizer requirements for their farms.

Rashtriya Gokul Mission

• Launched: 16 December 2014


• Main Objective: To conserve and develop indigenous bovine breeds.
• Outlay - Rs 500 crore
• Launched by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna (PMFBY)

• Launched: 18th February 2016


• Main Objective: To provide insurance coverage and financial support to the farmers in the event of
failure of any of the notified crop as a result of natural calamities, pests & diseases.
• Launched by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY)

• Launched: 1st July, 2015


• Main Objective: To enhance physical access of water on farms; expand cultivable area under assured
irrigation; improve water use efficiency in agriculture and introduce sustainable conservation practices.
• Outlay - Rs.50,000 crores

Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana

• Launched: April 2015


• Main Objective: To support and promote organic farming and thereby improving soil health.
• Launched by the NDA government in 2015.

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Unnat Krishi Shiksha Scheme

• Launched in: February-2017


• Main Objective: It was launched to promote agricultural education.
• Outlay: Rs.5.35 crore.

Schemes under Ministry of Finance

Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY)

• Launched: 28 August 2014


• Main Objective: Financial inclusion and access to financial services for all households in the country.
• Financial Allocation: 12.87 crore in rural area and 8.13 Crore accounts have been opened in urban
areas.

Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY)

• Launched: 9 May 2015.


• Main Objective: Provide life insurance cover to all Indian citizens.
• Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY)

• Launched: 8 May 2015


• Main Objective: Provide accidental insurance cover to all Indian citizens.
• Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Atal Pension Yojana (APY)

• Launched: 9 May 2015


• Main Objective: Increase the number of people covered under any kind of pension scheme.
• One of three social security schemes that the government had announced in the 2015.

Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY)

• Launched: April 2015


• Main Objective: Implement the pro-poor welfare schemes in more effective way and reaches out to
more poor population across the country.
• Launched by the Narendra Modi

Kisan Vikas Patra

• Launched: 3 March 2015 (Re-Launched)


• Main Objective: To provide safe and secure investment avenues to the small investors.

Gold Monetisation Schemes

• Launched: 04 November 2015


• Main Objective: To reduce the reliance on gold imports over time.
• The scheme allows banks' customers to deposit their idle gold holdings for a fixed period in return for
interest in the range of 2.25 per cent to 2.50 per cent.

Schemes under Ministries of Women and Child Development

Pradhan Mantri Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (PMSSY)

• Launched: 22 January 2015


• Main Objective: Secure the future of girl child
• Girl Child Prosperity AccounT is a Government of India backed saving scheme targeted at the parents
of girl children.

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP)

• Launched in: 22 January 2015


• Main Objective: A comprehensive programme is being implemented to address the declining Child Sex
Ratio (CSR) and related issues of empowerment of women over a life-cycle continuum.

Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY)

Main Objective: {erstwhile Maternity Benefit Programme} has been contributing towards better enabling
environment by providing cash incentives for improved health and nutrition to pregnant and nursing mothers.

• The scheme was launched in 2010 as Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahyog Yojana (IGMSY).
• It was renamed as Matritva Sahyog Yojana in 2014 and again as Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana
Yojana (PMMVY) in 2017.

Pradhan Mantri Mahila Shakti Kendra scheme

• Launched: November 2017


• Main Objective: To promote community participation through involvement of Student Volunteers for
empowerment of rural women.

National Creche Scheme

• Main Objective: To provide day care facilities to children of age group of 6 months to 6 years of working
women who are employed.

Rastriya Mahila Kosh (RMK)

• Main Objective: To provide micro-credit to poor women for various livelihood support and income
generating activities at concessional terms in a client-friendly procedure to bring about their socio-
economic development.

Swadhar Greh

• To provide relief and rehabilitation to destitute women and women in distress.

Ujjawala

• A Comprehensive Scheme for prevention of trafficking and for rescue, rehabilitation, re-integration and
repatriation of victims of trafficking for commercial sexual exploitation.

Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme:

• This is being implemented through States/UTs with the aim of holistic development of children upto 6
years of age and to meet nutritional needs of pregnant women and lactating mothers.

National Nutrition Mission (NNM):

The Government of India has approved setting up of National Nutrition Mission (NNM) commencing from
2017-18. The NNM, as an apex body, will monitor, supervise, fix targets and guide the nutrition related
interventions across the Ministries.

Schemes under Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUGKY)

• Launched: 25 July 2015


• Main Objective: To achieve inclusive growth, by developing skills and productive capacity of the rural
youth from poor families.

National Sports Talent Search Scheme (NSTSS)

• Launched: 20 February 2015


• Main Objective: To Identify sporting talent among students in the age group of 8–12 years

Schemes under Ministry of Urban Development

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)

• Launched: 25 June 2015


• Main Objective: Achieve housing for all by the year 2022, 2 crore in Urban and 3 Crore homes in Rural
areas.
• Target: There is a target of building 2 crore homes in urban area and 3 crore in rural areas across the
country.

Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Yojana

• Launched: 22 January 2015


• Main Objective: To generate awareness and improving the efficiency of welfare services meant for
women.

Smart City Mission

• Launched: 25 June 2015


• Main Objective: To develop 100 cities all over the country making them citizen friendly and sustainable

Schemes under Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment

Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT)

• Launched: 24 June 2015


• Main Objective: Providing basic services (e.g. water supply, sewerage, urban transport) to households
and build amenities in cities which will improve the quality of life for all, especially the poor and the
disadvantaged.

Schemes under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare

Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Yojana (PMJAY)

• Launched: March 2016 (Expected)


• Main Objective: Provides drugs/medicines at affordable cost across the country

Mission Indradhanush

• Launched: 25 December 2014


• Main Objective: To immunize all children as well as pregnant women against seven vaccine preventable
diseases namely diphtheria, whooping cough (Pertussis), tetanus, polio, tuberculosis, measles and
hepatitis B by 2020.

Schemes under Ministry of Tribal Affairs

Van Dhan Scheme

• Launched in: April 14, 2018


• Objective: The establishment of “Van Dhan Vikas Kendra” is for providing skill upgradation and
capacity building training and setting up of primary processing and value addition facility.
• Total outlay of Rs.43.38 lakhs

Van Bandhu Kalyan Yojna

• Launched in: November 2014.


• Objective: Aiming at overall development of tribal people with an outcome-base approach, which would
ensure that all the intended benefits goods and services to the tribal people through various
programmes/schemes of Central and State Governments covered under the respective Tribal Sub-Plans
actually reach them by way of appropriate convergence.

Schemes under Ministry of Power

Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS)

• Launched: 18 September 2015


• Main Objective: To ensure 24/7 power for all.
• Financial support: Rs. 45,800 crore

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY)

• Launched: 25 July 2015


• Main Objective: Electric supply feeder separation (rural households & agricultural) and strengthening
of sub-transmission & distribution infrastructure including metering at all levels in rural areas.

‘Prakash Path’ – ‘Way to Light’ – The National LED Programme

• Launched: 05 January 2015


• Main Objective: To distribute LED bulbs and decrease the power consumption.

UJWAL Discom Assurance Yojana (UDAY)

• Launched: 20 November 2015


• Main Objective: To obtain operational and financial turnaround of State owned Power Distribution
Companies (DISCOMs).

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana

• Launched: 1 May 2016


• Main Objective: To distribute free LPG connections to the women belonging to 5 Crore BPL families
across the country.

Schemes under Ministry of Rural Development

Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY)

• Launched: 11 October 2014


• Main Objective: Social, cultural, economic, infrastructure developments in the villages, i.e.
development of model villages called “Adarsh Gram”.
• Under the Yojana, Members of Parliament (MPs) will be responsible for developing the socioeconomic
and physical infrastructure of three villages each by 2019, and a total of eight villages each by 2024.

Shyama Prasad Mukherji Rurban Mission

• Launched: 21 February 2016

• Main Objective: To create 300 rural clusters across the country and strengthen financial, job, and
lifestyle facilities in rural areas.
• Outlay - Rs. 5142.08 crores

Schemes under Ministry of Commerce & Industry

Make in India

• Launched: 25 September 2014


• Main Objective: To encourage multi-national, as well as domestic companies to manufacture their
products in India and create jobs and skill enhancement in 25 sectors.

Startup India, Standup India

• Launched: 16 January 2016


• Main Objective: To provide support to all start-up businesses in all aspects of doing business in India.

Schemes under Ministry for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER)

North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme (NESIDS)

• Launched in: December 2017


• Objective: The scheme will broadly cover creation of infrastructure under following sectors
o (i) Physical infrastructure relating to water supply, power, connectivity and specially the
projects promoting tourism.
o (ii) Infrastructure of social sectors of education and health.

Schemes of North Eastern Council (NEC) and North East Road Sector Development Scheme
(NERSDS)

• North East Road Sector Development Scheme was launched during the Financial Year 2015-16.
• Three (3) roads were identified and entrusted to National Highways & Infrastructure Development
Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) for implementation.
• The scheme has already been taken up for extension beyond March, 2017 till March, 2020.

Schemes under Ministry of Human Resource Development

National Bal Swachhta Mission

• Launched: 14 November 2014


• Main Objective: To provide hygienic and clean environment, food, drinking water, toilets, schools and
other surroundings to the children.

Schemes under Ministry of Home Affairs

Udaan Scheme

• Launched: 14 November 2014


• Main Objective: Encouraging girls for higher technical education and aims to provide a platform that
empowers girl students and provides them with better learning opportunities.

Schemes under Ministry of Road Transport & Highways

Setu Bharatam Project

• Launched: 03 March 2016


• Main Objective: To free all national highways from railway level crossings and renovate the old bridges
on national highways by 2019.
• Setu Bharatam is an ambitious programme with an investment of Rs. 50,000 crore to build bridges for
safe and seamless travel on National Highways

Schemes under Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

• Launched: 2 October 2014


• Main Objective: To fulfil Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of a clean and hygienic India.

Schemes under Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas

PAHAL-Direct Benefits Transfer for LPG (DBTL) Consumers Scheme

• Launched: 01 January 2015


• Main Objective: To send the subsidy money of LPG cylinders directly into the bank accounts of the
consumers and increase efficiency & transparency in the whole system.

Schemes under Ministry of Labour & Employment

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Shramev Jayate Yojana (PDUSJY)

• Launched: 16 October 2014


• Main Objective: To consolidate information of Labour Inspection and its enforcement through a unified
web portal, this will lead to transparency and accountability in inspections.

Schemes under Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology

Digital India

• Launched: 1 July 2015


• Main Objective: To deliver Government services to citizens electronically by improving online
infrastructure and by increasing Internet connectivity.

DigiLocker

• Launched: 01 July 2015


• Main Objective: To provide a secure dedicated personal electronic space for storing the documents of
resident Indian citizens.

Schemes under Ministry of Tourism

Swadesh Darshan Yojana

• Launched: 09 March 2015


• Main Objective: Develop world class tourism infrastructure.

PRASAD (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive)

• Launched: 09 March 2015


• Main Objective: Develop world class tourism infrastructure in Amritsar, Ajmer, Amaravati, Dwaraka,
Gaya, Kanchipuram, Kedarnath, Kamakhya, Mathura, Puri, Varanasi and Vellankani.

Skill India

• Launched: 16 July 2015


• Main Objective: Train over 40 crore people in India in different skills by 2022.

Schemes under Ministry of Shipping

Sagarmala Project

• Launched: 31 July 2015


• Main Objective: To transform the existing ports into modern world class ports.
• Outlay - Rs 70,000 crore

Schemes under Ministry of Railways

Vikalp Scheme

• Launched: 01 November 2015


• Main Objective: For confirmed accommodation in next alternative train for the waitlisted passengers.

Schemes under Ministry of Culture

National Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY)

• Launched: 21 January 2015


• Main Objective: Bringing together urban planning, economic growth and heritage conservation in an
inclusive manner to preserve the heritage character of each Heritage City

Schemes under ministry of Defence

One Rank One Pension (OROP) Scheme

• Effective From: 1st of July 2014


• Main Objective: To provide same pension, for same rank, for same length of service, irrespective of the
date of retirement.
• This is not a Modi Government scheme, however, the government is making its efforts to implement
the long pending scheme.

The National Institution for Transforming India (NITI AAYOG)

• Launched: 01 January 2015


• Main Objective: to foster involvement and participation in the economic policy-making process by the
State Governments of India.

Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY)

• Launched: 17 September 2015


• Main Objective: To Safeguard Health, Environment and Economic Conditions of the Tribals.
• Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY) is meant to provide for the welfare of areas
and people affected by mining related operations, using the funds generated by District Mineral
Foundations (DMFs).

Schemes under Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation

Namami Gange Project

• Launched: 10 July 2014


• Main Objective: To integrates the efforts to clean and protect the Ganga river in a comprehensive
manner.
• Namami Gange approaches Ganga Rejuvenation by consolidating the existing ongoing efforts and
planning for a concrete action plan for future. The interventions at Ghats and River fronts will facilitate
better citizen connect and set the tone for river centric urban planning process.

Schemes under Ministry of Panchayati Raj

Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan

• Main Objective: To help Panchayat Raj Institutions deliver Sustainable Development Goals.
• It is a new proposed scheme announced in the union financial budget 2016-17 by the Finance Minister
Mr. Arun Jaitley.
• Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan has been proposed with allocation of Rs. 655 crore.

Schemes under Ministry of Food Processing Industries

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana

• Launched: August, 2017


• PM Kisan SAMPADA Yojana is a comprehensive package which will result in creation of modern
infrastructure with efficient supply chain management from farm gate to retail outlet.
• Financial allocation - Rs. 6,000 crore
