(4) THE UNIVERSITY ACCOMMODATION WILL BE PROVIDED ON SHARING BASIS, IF AVAILABLE.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE EXAMINERS INVITED FOR SPOT EVALUATION OF ANSWERBOOKS.
1. Entry to the spot evaluation centre shall be through this letter. All the examiners are, therefore, requested to bring and show the same at the time of entry to the
evaluation centre.
2. The timings for evaluation shall be from 9.00 A.M. to 1.00 P.M. and 2.00 P.M. to 6.00 P.M. All the examiners are requested to report at the centre in time so that
they could devote fulltime for the evaluation of 30 (thirty) answerbooks in the morning session and 30 (thirty) answerbooks in the afternoon session. Those who
come late beyond 15 minutes of the appointed time may not be allocated any work during that session. Even those who come late within permissible limit of 15
minutes will be indicating the exact time of their arrival in the Register placed at the entrance of evaluation centre.
3. Examiners are requested not to give any appointment to the visitors at the evaluation centre as no visitors shall be permitted to enter the Evaluation Centre or to
meet the examiners during evaluation sessions.
4. The examiners are requested to evaluate the answerbooks according to the instructions of the papersetter/Head examiner supplied to them so as to have
uniformity in marking the answerbooks. The Headexaminers should instruct their subexaminers accordingly and also ensure that these instructions are being
carried out by all the subexaminers properly. For this purpose, they are required to check at least 10% of the answerbooks evaluated by the subexaminers are
requested to be careful in totaling on them in token of their having done so.
5. Examiners are requested to be careful in totaling the marks and also ensure that no question or a part thereof has been left unmarked.
6. In case of Answerbooks having OMR front covers Examiners are required to darken two (for 36 pages answerbooks) or three bubbles (for 40 pages answer
books) pertaining to marks obtained by the candidates. They are also required to enter numeric data in boxes in Part C pertaining to answer book Code No. and
Subject Code number.
7. All the examiners shell be given a packet of 30 (thirty) answerbooks each in the morning session and 30 (thirty) answerbooks in the afternoon session.
8. In case of Secrecy answerbooks without OMR front Cover the corner of the title cover, containing the roll number of the candidate of each answerbook has
been folded and sealed with two staple pins on either side. The staples have further been coverd with the self adhesive transparent tape. The examiners should not
try to unfold or tamper with the sealed portion of the title cover of answerbooks under any circumstances.
9. Each examiner would be given 30 code numbers. Before starting the evaluation, they are requested to assign any one code number on any answerbook with in the
given series of 30code numbers allotted to each one of them. The award list after evalution should,, then, be prepared by the respective examiners in accordance
with the code numbers assigned by them on each answerbook, i.e. it should be prepared Code, number wise.
10. The examiners are requested to maintain proper discipline in the evaluation centre so that the functioning of the evaluation centre is smooth and efficient. They are
further requested that:
(I) They Should not exchange the answerbook(s) or noted with any other examiner(s);
(II) No other examiner is allowed to go through the bundle of answerbooks allotted to him/her.
(III) The examiners who evaluated the answerbooks of the same subject/paper, should not sit in group/clussters.
11. The examiners are requested kindly not to move about from one room to another or even in the same room/hall in which they are sitting. They can, however,
consult their respective Headexaminers in case of any difficulty/clarification.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE EXAMINERS FOR MINIMISING MISTAKES:
(I) Marks for each question or part thereof be indicated in the margin on the left hand side of the answerbook and the total marks awarded for each question
be also shown on the title cover in the appropriate columns.
(II) Proper care should be taken in recording the marks both inside as well as on the title page only.
(III) Half mark be raised to next higher figure in the grand total on the title page only.
(IV) If a candidate has overattempted the questions, all answers must be evaluated in the first instance. However, credit be restricted to the maximum number of
questions required to be attempted and extra questions(s) with lesser awarded marks be ignored and the words “Overattempted question” should be written
both inside the answerbook as well as on the title cover in all such cases.
(V) Mistakes in the answers be indicated by underlining the mistakes or by putting cross (X) marks thereon.
(VI) The total marks on the title cover of the answerbook should be written both in words and figures and the examiners should also put their signatures in full
alongwith the Identity number.
(VII) The examiners should write the word “END” at the end of all answers given in each answerbook and put their initials after crossing each blank page. The
blank spaces on each page may please be scored out and the last written page of each answerbook be signed in full.
(VIII) The examiners should correct the question number, if wrongly written by the candidate in Roman e.g. I, II, III etc, and not in Arabic numerals e.g. 1, 2, 3 etc.
(already used by the candidate).
(IX) During the course of evaluation if the examiner finds that the candidate has written his roll number or has given any mark of identification anywhere on the title
cover or inside the answerbook, he should immediately report the matter to the Incharge of the evaluation centre in writing.
(X) If any candidate has answered the translation passage in a script unfamiliar to the examiner i.e. in Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Sindhi, Oriya,
Assamese, the examiner should evaluate all other questions answered by such candidates and a note “Unfamiliar language be given on the title cover of the
answerbook as also in the award list against the roll number of candidate(s).
(XI) Before leaving the evaluation centre, the examiner should hand over the answerbooks to the Incharge of the evaluation centre only.
(XII) In case of any illegible answerbook, the same may be returned to the Incharge of the Evaluation Centre without marking with the clear indication that the
same cannot be evaluated for its lack of legibility.
SCHEDULE OF PASS PERCENTAGE(S) FOR THEORY PAPERS.
(1) B.A./B.Sc. 1s t, 2nd & 3rd year (General) 35%
(2) B.A./B.Sc. Hons. (New Scheme) 45% of the aggregate of 2nd & 3rd Years.
(3) B.Ed. 40%
(4) Prabhakar and Gyani 33%
(5) BBA/BCA I, II & III 40%
(6) B.Com. I, II & III 40%
