Greetings all,

My name is Jarelle Francis and I would love to be on the London Assembly in 2020 to enhance the two great Assembly
members we currently have.
Caroline Russell and Sian Berry are doing a great job and I feel we have a wonderful chance to add to our AM's in the
next mayoral elections.

I think London is a great example to the world of a plural society living in harmony with each other and it is important
that as a Green party we reflect that with the diversity of our candidates. So it would be an honour to be our first black
AM.

Here are my key messages.

BREXIT - There is no doubt we face challenging times ahead as a city and country starting with Brexit. It has just been
announced that EU nationals will have to pay £65 for Adults and £32.50 for children in an EU Settlement Scheme. This is
an absolute disgrace and a shame on our nation. There is an estimated 1Million EU nationals in London a city which
voted 60% remain and I will fight for our friends, family and colleagues to not have to pay this fee.

CLIMATE CHANGE AND AIR POLLUTION - The International Panel on Climate Change recently said we have 12 years to
limit climate chaos. London's air pollution and emissions have for too long been overlooked. There are 9,500 premature
deaths in London due to air pollution which is also causing under-developed lungs in children whilst particles are now
being found in the placenta of pregnant people.
We can tackle this by improving our transport system that includes freezing and getting rid of zonal fares. I will fight for
the ultra-low Emission Zone to be spread across London and also champion safer cycling and walking routes to reduce
car emissions. There are Cities in Europe like Copenhagen with great blueprints on how to reduce emissions and
working with a great transport campaigner like Caroline Russell with another Green AM can reduce London's pollution.

SERVICES TO THE MOST VULNERABLE - There have been cuts to youth services, mental health services and elderly care.
I will fight for these cuts to be reversed. These have had devastating consequences with crime rising and levels of
destitution and poverty increasing. We are a wealthy nation and city and we can afford to help our least fortunate.

HOUSING/RENT - We need to build more council housing and Sian Berry has been a great champion on different types
of housing like community land trusts for example. I will work with her to get more genuinely affordable housing built
whilst also fighting for rent caps and longer more stable tenancies for renters.

I am so pleased at the strength and diversity of all the candidates to be on the list! So this statement and my video will
be the extent of my campaign as I feel civil disputes in party politics are one of the reasons for the mess we find
ourselves in as a country.

We as a Green Party, need to support whoever is on the list and run positive campaigns highlighting our positive policies
which is the Green Party way.

I would be honoured if you chose me to be first preference on the London Assembly list, I can guarantee I will work hard
for all Londoners and I am ready to go!
