1. Target group
This hands-on or maintenance training course is aimed for ship crew, marine
engineering personnel/operators, maintenance engineers and all other professionals
WÄrtsilÄ LAND & SEA ACADEMY KOREA
2. Prerequisites
The trainees should have a basic knowledge of marine 2-stroke engine systems
together with some operational experience of the 2-stroke engine system. Formal
theoretical education in engineering is preferred but is not mandatory
4. Course location
The location for the training course is at the Wärtsilä Training Centre in Busan, Korea.
The course can be also arranged at other location, if training hardware is available.

There is a fifty per cent (50% of course price) cancellation fee if WLSA receives the non-
attendance notification between fourteen (14) and seven (7) calendar dates before the
course starting date.
There is a one hundred per cent (100% full course price) cancellation fee if WLSA
receives the non-attendance notification less than seven (7) calendar days before the
course starting date.
This training is conducted by an Instructor, who is certified according IMO Model Course
6.09 (Train the Trainer) and IMO Model Course 3.12 (Maritime Assessor Course / STCW
95)
