What Are We Learning?

Math
This week we worked on taking our
Interim assessment. This assessment
allows us to see what material
students have mastered so far, and
what material we need to do more
practice on.
ELA
This week we reviewed skills
necessary for the Interim
assessment we will be taking next
week. Skills assess are
comprehension strategies, writing
skills, and research skills.
Science
We wrapped up one unit
describing the effect of waves on
objects. Our main takeaways were
that waves only moves objects up
and down in deep water, and in
the direction of the wave when the
object is close to shore.

Sweetheart Dance February 8th @ 6:30 - invites have been
sent home with our ladies. RSVP!

Re-Enrollment – It’s important that you have re-enrolled your

child for next year and saved their seat. Please login to your
parent portal and on your home page will be a link to
complete this process. It’s imperative that we have your re-
enrollment decision before the end of January.

Responsible Choices Assemblies – Knapp is excited to

welcome speaker/presenter Jeff Veley to Knapp on
Wednesday, February 13. Jeff will be presenting to students,
staff, and parents on bullying information/prevention, problem
solving, and empowerment. The schedule for the day will
be: *8:45-9:45 - Parent Presentation, *10:00-11:00 - Y5-2, *12:50-
1:50 - 3-5 and *2:05-3:05 - Middle School. Please consider
joining us for both the parent session, as well as any of the
