Position: Senior Manager (Quality & Development)

Reports to: Vice President

General Description

He/She is the responsible for Quality Assurance and the Quality Management and Environment
Management System. His area of responsibility includes ..

 to assures consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good automated


manufacturing practice (GAMP) systems; validating processes; providing documentation;
managing staff.
 To ensure that processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established,
implemented and maintained. 2. Report to top management on the performance of the QMS and
any need for improvement

Job Description:

1. Accomplishes quality assurance human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting,


training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating
job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and
reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
2. Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to
strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production,
productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems;
completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change; deriving,
implementing and enforcing suitable and relevant new Quality concepts, tools and methodology.
3. Meets quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements; preparing an annual
budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
4. Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance,
and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of
management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training
methods.
5. Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information
and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-
validations.
6. Ensure that the QMS, EMS are effectively implemented.
7. Find solutions to any problems affecting the QMS & EMS.
8. Bring to the notice of the top management any problems affecting the QMS & EMS and actions
being taken to solve them.
9. Member secretary of the MRM.
10. Ensure that MRC meetings are regularly convened, their record of discussions is maintained and
circulated and any follow-up action is suitably taken.
11. Administer the Internal Audit, Control of Records, Control of Documents and Improvement
programs of the Company.
12. Bring awareness in the company about the need to meet Customer requirements.
13. Administer the Development team, development projects (focus on local- to-local).

Requirements:

1. Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task


2. Strong communication and presentation skills
3. Adequate knowledge of data collection methods
4. Strong analytical and critical thinking
5. B. Tech/B.E degree in Electrical /Electronic / Instrumentation Engineering is required.
6. Experience of Min 15 years in the similar industry.

The following qualifications are not required but will be taken into consideration.

 Experience in data analysis


 Knowledge of Connector industry
 Dual degree Engineering & MBA is preferable.
