Course Outline
ME 122L: Engineering Drawing (0+1)

The objective of this course is to equip the students with the basic knowledge and skills of
engineering drawing and its application in practical scenarios. The students will also be
introduced to a CAD package. Topics to be covered include : types of lines and usage,
dimensioning, lettering, orthographic first angle projection, sheet planning, orthographic third
angle projection, introduction to computer aided drawing, isometric projection, sectional drawing
and assembly drawing. Drawing sheets will be prepared on drawing board as well as CAD
package.
