1 NTPC invites online e-bids from invited bidders for aforesaid Package. You have been selected as
one of the eligible bidders for this package/ work.

2 BRIEF SCOPE OF WORK:

Scope of work covers replacement of Leakage Surge Arrester in GT2 W phase with spare surge
arrester at site and repair of Earth switch in the GT2 Interconnector /Q52/Phase "C"(1W) and supply
of all spares and consumables for the inspection of GIS interconnection facility. The detailed scope
of work terms and conditions are available in Section-V.

4 Detailed specification, scope of work and terms & conditions are given in the bidding documents,
which are available for examination and sale at the address given below and as per the following

6. Bid Security/ EMD in the form of DD/BC/BG) if applicable, shall be submitted in a sealed envelope
separately offline by the stipulated bid submission closing date & time at the address given below.
Any bid without an acceptable Bid Security shall be treated as non-responsive by the employer and
shall not be opened.

In case Bid Security is submitted by way of Bank Guarantee, the same should be valid for period of
225 days from the date of Opening of Techno-commercial offer.

In case Bid Security is submitted by way of Demand Draft/ Bankers Cheque/ Pay Order, the same
should be payable at HARIPAD (DT. ALLEPPEY, KERALA).

While issuing the physical BGs, the Bidder’s Bank shall also send electronic message through
secure SFMS (in case of BGs issued from within India) or SWIFT (in case of BGs issued from
outside India) to Employer’s Beneficiary Bank whose details are provided herein below:

Note: Bidders, who have valid MSE/ NSIC certificate, are not required to submit Tender Fee and
EMD; such bidders shall submit/ upload SME/ NSIC certificate online with digitally signed.

7. Techno-Commercial Bid (i.e. Technical Bid & Price Bid) Submission:

This is an E-tender case and bidders shall submit bid (Technical Bid & Price Bid) in ONLINE only.
Bids sent in physical form through any other means /media is not at all acceptable and it may be
liable to be rejected.

A) Documents Required for Technical Bid Submission:

i) EMD (if applicable) in the form of DD/BC/BG is to be submitted in sealed envelope in Physical Form/
Offline within the scheduled period. Any techno-commercial bid not accompanied by an acceptable
EMD and Tender Fee in separate sealed envelope shall be rejected by NTPC Limited, Kayamkulam
as being non-responsive and will not be considered for Opening. (*Format for BG, Please refers to
Section-VIII, Forms & Procedures).
ii) Above sealed envelopes must be super scribed with NIT No., Date of Opening of Bid, and
Sender's Name & Address.
iii) Bidders who have valid MSE/NSIC certificate, those bidders are not required to submit the EMD.
Please note that MSE/NSIC certificate may also submitted online and digitally signed if bidders
having valid MSE/NSIC certificate.
iv) Following documentary evidences should be uploaded online & signed Digitally:
 Bid Form and Attachments
 Copy of Independent PF and ESI Registration Certificates
 Copy of GSTIN Registration Certificate and Income Tax PAN Certificate
 Documents regarding Legal status of the bidder and Power of Attorney as per ITB
 Details Regarding Attribute which comprises of: Declaration of banning Policy, Declaration of
Fraud Prevention Policy, Nil Deviation Certificate.

8. Bid of the Bidders who have not submitted requisite amount of EMD (in form of DD/BC/BG, if
applicable) separately or valid MSE/NSIC certificate.

9. NTPC reserves the right to reject any or all bids or cancel/ withdraw the IFB for subject Package
without assigning any reason whatsoever and in such case no bidder/ intending bidder shall have
any claim arising out of such action.

10. Issuance of bid documents to any bidder shall not construe that such bidder is considered to be
qualified. Bids shall be submitted and opened at the address given below in the presence of bidder’s
representatives who choose to attend the bid opening.

11. Transfer of Bidding Documents purchased by one intending Bidder to another is not permissible.
Parties banned by any NTPC Projects, Corporate Centre /Southern Region HQ/ Rajiv Gandhi CCPP
are not eligible to participate.
