Introduction
Accompanying this book is a complete set of recordings performed by the composer. Music
is learned through listening, imitation, and repetition. The recordings allow the student to make
progress without the teacher being present.
In creating this book, we have tried to address all aspects of trumpet playing. It is important
to warm-up before you play. Practise the technical studies and scales to improve your technique.
Perform the solos and duets in front of your family and friends. The final chapter improves your
sight reading and transposition skills, not to be neglected! Above all, please have fun!
