1. Laptop TCP Check

Step1: If Laptop OS is Windows 7, check the following parameters.
 Step1.1 Start -> Run…
 Step1.2 Input “cmd.exe”, and then click “OK”
 Step1.3 TCP Check: netsh int tcp show global

 Step1.4 TCP Setting if Parameters are different with the prior figure.

netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal

 Step1.5 Start -> Run…

 Step1.6 Input “gpedit.msc”, and then click “OK”
 Step1.7 Select “Administrative Templates -> Network -> Qos Packet Scheduler”, then
double click the item “Limit reservable bandwidth”

 Step1.8 Check the configuration. If “Enabled”, should change to “Not Configured”.

Step2: If Laptop OS is Windows XP or Windows 7, Check Laptop TCP parameters according to the
following guideline.

Step3: Set Laptop TCP parameters

 If the check results are different with the following figures, double click and run the
following attached “TCP_Setting.reg”file to set Laptop TCP Parameters.
 Then double check the new TCP parameters.

2. UE Dongle Performance Check

Step1: Check UE Throughput at Good RSRP and SINR point using the same laptop
 If downlink throughput of one UE is much worse than other UEs, don’t use this UE to do FTP
Download.
 If uplink throughput of one UE is much worse than other UEs, don’t use this UE to do FTP Upload.

Step2: Check UE Short Call Performance

Observe the RRC Signalling of UE Short Call. If the message of ueCapabilityInformation is similar with
the following figure, this UE can be used to do Short Call.

If the message of ueCapabilityInformation is similar with the following figure, this UE cannot be used to
do Short Call.

3. Test Case Check

According to the prior check results of UE dongle and laptop, select correct UE and Laptop to do the
corresponding test case. The following table shows one example.

4. Antenna Number and Location Check

Step1: Check UE External Antenna Number
 One LTE UE must be connected with 2 external antennas to support 2x2 MIMO.
 So 4 antennas are needed to do 2 test cases in one circle.

Step2: Check UE External Antenna Location on the top of car

 2 external antennas of one UE should be different side of car to get better MIMO performance, e.g.
one antenna out of left window and the other out of right window

5. Drive Test Time Check

 The test case of FTP Download should be tested in the morning and finish before 14:00pm to get
higher downlink throughput. The main reason is that there are some other commercial UEs doing
downlink service in the afternoon.
 The following table shows one example of drive test time schedule.

6. Drive Test Route Check

 The drive test should be done along the route confirmed with customer. For swap project, the DT
route After Swap should be same as that of Before Swap.
