LESSON PLAN (WRITING) - The Pied Pipers

ideas within short texts on familiar topics.

plans and ambitions.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES : At the end of the lesson, pupils are able to:
i- organise, sequence and develop ideas to write an
e-mail.
ii- describe future plans and ambitions by practising
useful expressions.

ACTIVITIES: :  Pupils are asked on social invites.


 Pupils are called to write some of their responses on
PRE-LESSON the board.
LESSON DEVELOPMENT :  Teacher goes through the useful expressions on page
15 in the textbook.
 Pupils are asked to construct sentences from the
expressions learnt.
 Pupils volunteer in reading out their answers.
 Teacher writes the format of an e-mail on the board
and explain the referrals to the pupils.
 Pupils refer to the Exam Task on page 15 and the
teacher checks that pupils understand what they have
to do. Pupils are informed to include all the key
information.
 Pupils are given 15 minutes to write their e-mail
individually.
 Pupils cross-check the task with their shoulder
partner under the teacher’s guidance.

POST LESSON :  Pupils are asked to recall the correct format of writing
an e-mail.
 Pupils review the lesson by completing an exit card:
‘what went well in your learning?’ and ‘even better if…’
 Teacher collects the cards.
