• Children will be gathered on mat, educator will do a recap of
children’s learning from the summer unit of work and what Mystery bag –

random to come up and pull something out of the bag and piece
together what season they will be working on for the next unit of
work.
• Educator will explain that children will be working with the season
winter and they are expected to create a new chapter in their
seasons book using Book Creator (show summer chapter as a
reviser). They will need to list and describe – observable changes
they see in the land and the sky comparing the seasons.
• But first educator will have the children log onto their iPads in QR codes/ Padlet
designated pairs and create a brainstorm on Padlet of what they brainstorm
know or associate with winter (descriptive words are encouraged),
QR code as a link.

Group one

conclusion.
o The children will be prompted to take a photo of each
step -observe the first unchanged variable, then copy that
image and explain (through verbal recordings, text or
drawings), what they think will happen when another
variable is added.
o The children will then record via video or photo of what
has happened. The children will then need to discuss and
explicitly explain what they have seen. Educator will be
guiding and explaining the steps to the children as they
go along.

Conclusion:
• Children will then gather down on the mat and share something
iPads and projector
new they have learnt.
• The children can then have the opportunity to share through the
projector what they have achieved so far and reflecting on their
knowledge now.
