the best available evidence, that
includes research findings, for safe, medications patients are taking on a regular basis. The drug name, Side effects, Drug Interactions, Description,
quality practice
Uses, Pharmacology and Precautions

Rationale: access and analysis medication orders in order to clarify orders and decisions that are

unclear, not understood or questionable in addition question and/or clarify interventions that appear

inappropriate with relevant members of the health care team.

Strategy: to start a medication journal as suggested in HSNS206 Moodle site. I will Write down some

of the medications patients are taking on a regular basis and go home and research the drugs

Evidence: When I feel I am able to look at a medication order and it not seem correct be confident I have
the knowledge to question the order. – I am aware this is not something I will be able to do after my first

placement however to begin building that knowledge is where I am starting. This will ensure that I deliver safe

practice in regards to oral medication administration

colleagues and patients. For instance, medication errors and unclear documentations.

imitate their expressions. Study one patient’s case per day, memorize the medical
terms.
