Hendry County 4-H members are busy preparing for the final countdown
LYLAS Pet Show 3 to exhibit their animals at the Hendry County Fair and in the Labelle
Youth Livestock Agricultural Show. The LaBelle Youth Livestock Show

 Steers / Beef Breeding
Steers need to weigh at least 900 lbs with a
minimum A.D.G. of 1.5 lbs. at Final Weigh-in on
Saturday, February 9th, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. –
3:00 p.m.
Pee Wee Calf Show, Beef Breeding and Steer Show
will be Tuesday, February 12th at 6:30 pm.
The modified Danish System will be used. The
showmanship contest will be held immediately
following the placing of the animals.
Steers / Beef Breeding
At Final Weigh-in on Sunday, Feb 10th, 2019,
from 1:30p.m. – 2:30p.m. Steers need to weigh at
least 1000 lbs.with a minimum A.D.G. of 1.5 lbs.
Beef Breeding Show will be Tuesday, Feb 12th at 7:00
p.m. followed by the Steer show. The modified Danish
System will be used. The showmanship contest will be
held immediately following the placing of the animals.
Barn will be closed from 5:30 pm till show completion.

Swine Swine

Real, working Florida cowboys and cowgirls utilize their ropin’ & ridin’ skills in this com-
petitive extravaganza to qualify for the Florida Cattlemen’s Association state finals in
Kissimmee. This is a true display of cattle and horse handling abilities passed down
from many generations ago.
 A total of 150 entries with 89 exhibitors participated in the Prospect Show. They represented
18 Florida Counties and 1 Georgia County. We are proud of all of the representation from all
over the state and beyond but we hope to have more Glades and Hendry exhibitors next
year like we used to have.! All proceeds will go towards scholarships for eligible Glades &
Hendry County Youth and Project grants for local exhibitors wanting to get stated showing
swine. We had 25 awesome area sponsors to help make this a very successful event 8 years
and counting!!
