Curtis Dowlearn Memorial Scholarship

As a strong supporter of education, I believe you will be excited about an opportunity to

encourage growth in education, as well as a way to help assure that high caliber of learning in
the reality of pushing forward will be available when needed for the students of Furr High
School. At the same time, this opportunity allows all of us to say “Thank You – Job Well Done!”
to those who are on the “front lines” of learning and pushing forward.

I am referring to The Curtis Dowlearn Memorial Scholarship Fund, established by the Jacinto
City Police Association in Houston, Texas to enable Furr High School student to pursue careers
in professional areas and continue their dedication to themselves and their families. The Jacinto
City Police Association is partnering with many partners to make this Fund a successful tribute
to the life of Curtis Dowlearn and a positive step toward reversing the decline in number of
college bound seniors in our city.

Each year, as many $1,000 scholarships will be awarded as donations to the Fund will allow.
Start next year, 2011, two awards will be made to youth enrolling in university are any schools
of higher learning. I hope you will join us in this effort by making a tax-deductible contribution
to Jacinto City Police Association, Curtis Dowlearn Memorial Scholarship Fund.
