Headstock: present at the left hand side, holds the gear train, main spindle, chuck,

gear speed control levers etc

Tailstock: present at right hand side of the lathe. provide supports to the work piece
Chuck:holds the workspace. It is four jaw and three jaw according
to the requirement of machine.

Carriage: carries apron, saddle, compound rest, cross slide and tool
post.

Lead Screw: used to move the carriage automatically during threading

Feed Rod: move the carriage from left to right and vice versa
Chip Pan: collect the chips that are produced during the lathe operation. It is present at
the bottom of the lathe

Spindle: Holds and rotates the chucks

Apron: Situated on carriage.Contains all controlling and moving mechanism

Tool post: Bolted on carriage.Holds tool at correct position
