Henry is a dynamic, passionate and extremely well educated professional within the Education, Corporate Training and Skills
Development sector with over 17 years proven work experience throughout South Africa and Internationally.

His background includes a wide range of qualifications, namely a professional law degree; an Honours degree in Development
Studies; an Honours degree in Education Management, law and policy; TEFL certification; and South African Qualifications
Authority (SAQA) accredited ODETDP qualifications in Facilitation, Outcomes-Based Assessment and Skills Development
Facilitation.

Henry has had the opportunity to work in extremely diverse, and sometimes challenging, environments abroad, in Somalia,
China, Taiwan, the Sudan, the Sultanate of Oman, Saudi Arabia and Iraq, and has successfully adjusted to teaching, lecturing and
facilitating English as a Second Language / English as a Foreign Language (ESL/EFL) to children and adults, in formal schooling,
Higher Educational and corporate training environments. His Teaching/lecturing/Training facilitation experience also includes

classroom across rural schools in South Africa. Furthermore, as project manager for PetroChina in Iraq, he designed,

Intuitively compassionate towards the needs of marginalised and/ disadvantaged communities, Henry extended his insight to
communities in Somalia as an Education Aid and Relief Field-Worker for a US-based NGO.

With an IELTS English language competency band score of 8/9 from Cambridge University and the British Council, he is well-
equipped in teaching ESL, EAP and ESP for a variety of purposes, with specific experience targeting business professionals and
academics at industry and university level.

• Establishing and coordinating a 4-month intensive foundation ELT training programme for teaching English to 150 Iraqi
trainees, with mechanical, electrical, and production engineering backgrounds at PetroChina, Halfaya Oilfield

• Designing a working programme with clear timelines and targets, implementing the project, and then effectively
managing it on-site
• Devising a sound programme with resources, evaluation assessments, pacing plans, and comprehensive training reports

Achievements:

planning and organising the training section’s work
