1) Making decisions and Solving Problems

The maintenance activities is initiated and recorded through a software
connecting all departments. Any failure or job request is raised through the site
and the concerned section has to follow up and do the job. These request are
closed by the job performer where he has to fill the starting time, the duration,
the assistances, and the used materials.
A performance and quality management committee discuss periodically the
weaknesses and delaying cases during each sub period which is a month.
The average number of job requests raised for the section is 200 job requests.

Each department is requested to choose the spare parts related to its
activities through the annual section budget list including the quantities and the
full specification details, for each items.
Each section's budget list contains a few hundreds of items.

Each unit or equipment trip is covered by a trip report identifying the
cause, the result, recommendations, and lessons learned.

Any modification carried on any equipment or on the application soft
ware is covered by a modification report submitted by the suggestion provider,
and must has the performance and quality management committee approval .

5) Data / Information Analysis

Available Data Reference


During operation process, the control system is generating a stream of
events and alarm at each case where any function of the operated unit exceeds
the programmed limits. These Alarms must be analyzed and reported
illustrating the causes, the results, and the recommendations, where these report
are scanned by the performance and quality management committee and they
decided on its accuracy. Nearly at the power plant there is 10 – 20 illustration
report generated monthly by the section

7) Documenting / Recording Information's

Available Data Reference


Daily activities reports, equipments' history cards, modification reports,
trip reports, case illustrations and lessons learn reports, weekly and monthly
and annual preventive maintenance reports, and others are requested to be done
by the employee. Where annual and semi annual internal auditing is done to
decide on the shortage in reporting process.

10) Commitment

Available Data Reference


Safety department is requested to monitor each activity in the power
plant and match the permit to work requirements with the commitment of
applying, that beside the employee's commitment with the safety regulations,
otherwise they'll stop the job and raise a claim when the job performer was not
applying the safety instructions or permit requirements.
