The proposal for my documentary is that I look back at the progression of film production, I
will talk about how it went from silent films to high definition, I will be using pictures and short
clips if needed but I think pictures will be fine for the majority of the documentary because
i’m just talking about the subject but when I am using short clips they will just be playing in
the background of my comments so for example if I was talking about Scarface (1982) I will
be using a picture of Tony Montana or perhaps using a short scene such as the introduction
or the ending scene.
When talking about VFX I could use images of the equipment needed or have a clip of a film
that uses VFX further explaining my point and backing up what I was saying to make it easy
for my audience to understand what is going on and how VFX works.
Target Audience
My target audience is 16-18 year olds. I made a survey on Google Forms with questions so I
had my primary research done. I looked at my answers and responded to how they would
help me, I got constructive answers for the majority of it where my target audience was
asking for features such as VFX to be talked about.
Production Crew
I will editing this documentary video by myself, I will also be presenting and narrating on my
video using a green screen for the presentation and recording the narration on audacity so I
get great quality audio instead of using the camera microphone all the way through.
Storyboards
This is off a WhatCulture video where Ash (The hostess) is using a green screen with The
Avengers in the background.
This is from the same video where the hostess is now narrating over a clip from the
Avengers movie. I like this because the audience gets to see what you’re describing.
