CHAPTER 4

PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION

OF DATA

This chapter presents the finding, analysis and interpretation of data

gathered to get the result of the Assessment of Different Guest Activity

Programming offered in Patar Beach Resort

Sub- problem 1: How do the local and foreign tourists assess the

different guest activities offered to Patar beach as to:

All required skills rated are all satisfactory included the enough strength

and agility at the same weighted mean of 3.7, sufficient amount of skills

and strategies at the same weighted mean of 3.63, and lastly, experienced

the different activities offered at 3.57. As shown in the data the foreign

tourists give a higher rating of 4.02 while the local tourists evaluated the

activities with 3.26.


Overall, visitors rated the skills required in the activities of Patar Beach

Resort as satisfactory with the computed overall mean of 3.64.

The top 3 gest activities assessed as from satisfactory to very

satisfactory included sightseeing with 4.27, sunset watching at 4.06, and

beach volleyball at 3.8. Camping and bonfire, day trip tours, kayaking and

other activities offered in the destination were not visible in the area. From

this table, both the local and foreign tourists expressed that the activities in

Patar Beach Resort are satisfactory. The foreign tourists rated it with a

weighted mean at 4.17 while local tourists with the weighted mean of 3.41.
Overall the respondents agreed that these activities are satisfactory in

the said destination.

As shown in the data local tourists assessed the enjoyment of the

activities even with the time limit or duration, price, allotted time offered,

limited time of use, and time planned followed as satisfactory with the

weighted mean 3.69, 3.65, 3.62, 3.58, and 3.51 respectively. According to

the table, the foreign tourists gave a higher rating of 3.94 is verbally

interpreted as satisfactory. while the local tourists assessed the time frame

of the activities with 3.27 evaluated as good.


Overall the respondents rated the time frame of the activities as

satisfactory with the weighted mean of 3.62.

As presented in the table, visitors assessed the approachability of the

local people was satisfactory with 4.05, good service offered by the

management with 3.81, hospitality of the staffs with 3.73, adequate

number of facilitators with 3.61, and approachability of the local and

foreign tourists with 3.41. Skilled and knowledgeable facilitators were

assessed as good with 3.36 and visibility and availability of souvenir

vendors with 3.07. As shown in the data local and foreign tourists

assessment is interpreted as satisfactory with 3.44 and 4.09 respectively.


In general the composite value of the evaluation of local and foreign

tourists regarding nature of the group is verbally construed as satisfactory

with the computed mean 3.77.

The respondents confirmed that the four (4) satisfactory facilities

needed were the maintenance of the equipment with 3.61, followed by

availability of equipment at 3.6, accessibility of safety gears at 3.54, and

adequate number of equipment for the activities at 3.52. However, there

was good assessment regarding user-friendly tools at 3.36. Foreign

tourists expressed higher rating of 3.95 is verbally interpreted as

satisfactory, while local tourists assessed the facilities needed is verbally

interpreted as good with 3.1.


Overall the respondents differently evaluated the facilities as

satisfactory at 3.53.

As shown in the computed data, the local tourists of Patar Beach

Resort assessed skills required, activities, time frame, nature of the group, and

facilities needed as good with an overall weighted mean 3. 29 while foreign

tourists of Patar Beach Resort assessed the above criterion as satisfactory

with an overall weighted mean 4.03. Overall, both local and foreign tourists

assessed skills required, activities, time frame, nature of the group, and

facilities needed as satisfactory with an overall weighted mean of 3.64.

assessments of the respondent on the given variables?

The table shows that the computed value of 4.526 is greater than the

critical value of 1.980. It is verbally interpreted as Significant which means,

there is significant difference in the assessment of local and foreign tourists on

skills required. Thus, the null hypothesis of the study is rejected. The local and

foreign tourists expressed different assessment that Patar Beach Resort

requires skills to the activities.

assessment of Local and Foreign Tourists has significant difference in terms of

Activities. Thus, the null hypothesis of the study is rejected.

The local and foreign tourists expressed similar assessment of the

activities that are satisfactory in Patar Beach Resort.
