Caso Clínico 1

A 23 year –old woman was seen in the gynecology clinic of the hospital because of a low-grade

squamous intraepithelial lesión seen on pathological examination of Papanicolaou (pap) smear

(image 1) an HPV (human papilloma virus) assay positive for low-risk HPV serotypes, a cervical

biopsy diagnosis of light displasia an IVPH (NIC1) (imagen 2).

Menarche had ocurred at the age of 13 years , her menstruation has been monthly and regular

since that age. She had been sexually active since the age of 21 years old and she has had 7 male

partners from then, she has not history of infection sexually transmitted or pelvic infections. She has

used oral contraceptives for 3 months, when she started to be sexually active.Testing of cervical

secretion for gonorrea and chlamydia were negative. She has had multiple atypical nevi, and one of

two previous excision had reportedly shown dysplastic changes. On examination, she appeared

well.The vital signs were normal; the weight was 60.2kg.the height 162cm, and the body-mass index.

The next week later , she was seen in the colposcopy clinic, examination revealed the entire squamo

Clumnar junnction, a biopsy specimen of the lesión was obtained. Pathological examination

revealed light squamous dysplastic with koilocytosis.
