B. Developmental Activities
1. Presentation
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is similar to
Information Technology (IT) but focuses primarily on communication
technology. Information Technology refers to use of computer to store,
retrieve, transmit and manipulate data or information. ICT also refers to
technologies that provide access to information through
telecommunication such as, the internet, wireless networks cell phone
networks and more.

Six (6) Components of ICT System

1. People – are needed to supply or input the data to the system.
2. Hardware – these are physical components that make up the system.
3. Software – these are computer programs that will help you to get the
job done.
4. Procedures – are series of steps to ensure that the computer system
executes.
5. Data – are raw material that needs to be processed.
6. Information – are output from the processed data.
