INTRODUCTION
SUNGWOO Silt Protector is a flexible membrane product that has been designed
to physically prevent diffusion of pollution generated in dredging or reclamation works on the
seas or rivers. The pollution (fine particles) is said to badly affect the benthic organisms
(marine life that live in the bottom) including making the breathing of fishes difficult and
reducing underwater luminance. SUNGWOO Silt Protector prevents diffusion of pollution
safely because it uses a physical means without using chemicals that will be the cause of the
secondary pollution.
SUNGWOO Silt Protector basically consists of the curtain section that is made of
synthetic textile (mainly made from high tenacity woven polyester), the float that hangs the
curtain in the water, and the mooring section for fixing the unit at a specified location.
APPLICATION
- Prevention of spreading soil, arisen on reclamation.
- Prevention of contamination adjacent to the area which to construct harbor revetment.
- Prevention of spreading contamination around the improvement area such as route,
dredging, riverbed.
- Prevention of the damage sea farm or beach, where are around construction side.
STRUCTURE
Sungwoo Silt Protector is made up of a float, anchorage, liner part have strong structure
to endure great energy like tide, wave and wind.
- Float Part
Consisting of circular polystyrene foams covered by tarpaulin sheets.
- Canvas Part
High tenacity polyester woven fabric which maintains a good filtration and durability
complete with chain as weighing.
- Connection Part

Consists of some accessories to connect between canvas part and anchor blocks anchor
