About PETROTECH
Petrotech was first held in 1995 and it was clear from the response to the inaugural event that it had a bright future
as a focal point for India's energy industry. The event has continued to develop and is now respected as the
leading forum in South Asia for debating the issues that face the global hydrocarbon industry.
Petrotech is a biennial event held under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Each of the
eleven conferences and exhibitions held since 1995 have set higher standards, building momentum and uniting
the upstream, midstream, downstream, HSE and renewable energy sectors in helping to secure India's energy
needs as well as promoting the drive towards energy independence.
Petrotech Conference and Exhibition will aim for tangible contributions to the issues of shaping an equitable
and sustainable energy basket, diversifying the global energy basket, creating capacity to service the emerging
energy basket, aligning policy with the emerging energy basket and global partnerships for sustainable energy
solutions.
PETROTECH-2019 is planned on the Theme:- Shaping The New Energy World Through Innovation and
Collaboration. The emerging energy world is faced with new challenges from with-in and from outside of the
sector. The future shifts in demographics, urbanization, energy demands and markets will be key in shaping the
New Global Energy System. The horizon bears the first rays of visibility in sustainable economic advantages from
a spectrum of energy sources. The global energy space is moving from its traditional frontiers of availability,
affordability, efficiencies, and accessibility, towards newer dimensions of Integration, digitization, automation
and innovation. The advancements in use of artificial intelligence in energy sector opens up a new dimension for
energy Industry. The Energy leaders of tomorrow will deal with multi-dimensional template of this emerging
global energy industry, with renewed stake holders expectations. At Petrotech 2019 we will endure to take a
deep insight to the emerging new energy market and gather to share our experiences to forge new partnerships
and think of realisable collaborative preparation to shape the New Energy World.

The Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI) is an apex Society of entities in the hydrocarbon sector and
acts as an industry interface with Government and regulatory authorities. It helps in resolution of issues and
evolution of policies and regulations. FIPI came into existence in 2016 by merging the two existing bodies ie. The
Petrotech Society, which organized the biennial International Oil & Gas Conference & Exhibition, Petrotech, and
the Petroleum Federation of India (PetroFed) which had wide range of activities such as lectures, workshops and
seminars to promote the interest of the petroleum industry.
FIPI now represents the industry on Government bodies, committees and task forces and has been submitting
recommendations to the Government on behalf of the industry on various issues.It aims to be the most effective
and influential voice of the oil & gas industry to facilitate its development as a globally competitive industry in
India that enjoys the respect and trust of the society. Several Government policy initiatives have their genesis in
its reports and publications, some of which are quoted in documents like the Integrated Energy Policy.FIPI
organizes seminars, conferences, workshops, roundtable meetings and brings out study reports and a quarterly
journal. It has instituted 15 Awards in 13 categories which are open to all Oil & Gas companies operating in the
country without any entry fee.All major companies operating in the oil & Gas sector in India are members of FIPI.
