H: Hi girls. I have not seen you for a long time. how are you?

N: Hi henry, fine. D: hi, fine too, and you?

H: I’m ok, thanks. So, Have you finished your carrer yet?

N: Yes, I have already finished my carrer

D: me too. Also we are planning to travel to South Korea and we have just bought our plane
tickets. N: yes, because we want to learn about the culture and to relax.

H: Really, I have been there for six months?

D: that is good. N: oh, how was it? Did you have a good time?

H: Yeah, it was wonderful… there is a lot of interesting things to do there, but there is only one
thing that I don’t like. Eat live octopus. You have to have very cold blood to bite the octopus and
put it in your mouth. Also, if you don’t chew enough, you can die because the animal can drown
you with its tentacles

D: oh that was an interesting information, so it’s probably better not to eat that.

H: yeah, you are right. N: but if someone invite me to have a dinner. Is it ok, if I turn down this
food?

H: actually, it’s probably better to explain the person who invites you before.

D: Henry, I´ve been looking for information and I read about that inside their eating habits you
should never touch food with your fingers and you should never help yourself to a drink.

H: absolutely, it is appropriate to wait the person who invites you to serve you and after that
you have to return the sign.

N: Also, I know that normally, south Koreans don’t shake hands and much less greet with a kiss,
so they greet by bowing their head when they are introduced to someone.
