Ola Kolehmainen (born 1964 in Helsinki) is a Finnish photographer.

The most common motives of

his photographs are various buildings and architectural compositions, but not the real ones. He uses
them only as a starting point and develops into abstract. He plays with space, light and color which
are often permeate and duplicate and create unreal composition which intriguets human psychology
and is attractive for humans eye.

Andrew S Gray is a photographer who is using a technique of camera in motion in order to create
interesting abstract photographs mostly of nature and landscapes. As he was inspired by the
paintings of the old English masters with a mix of camera techniques and post processing he has
developed this style and artistic manner. His photographs really look like paintings and consist of a
lot of expression and free movements.

Harry Morey Callahan was a twentieth century American photographer. I like his works, because he
freely experimented with multiple exposures and movements and in the same time he showed a
strong sense of line and form and also played with dark and light in his pohotographs.

Matthew Brandt is an American photographer which is known for his experimental and messy way of working. He
produces large-scale photographs through labor-intensive processes. In that way he is recalling the 19th century
origins of photography. His photographs often obtain motives from nature and cities, but not expected and real
ones. He plays with alchemy of image making and during the development in his photographs appear interesting
effects of various materials. His photographs don’t look like regular ones, they look like graphic prints, watercolors,

by soaking them in their own water, and photographs of swarms of sparkling honeybees
incorporating the bodies of the bees themselves. I am interested in his work because I
have thought of experimenting in photography similar to this, in order to get outside the
box and make a change in a way of working.

Brian Bress is an American artist which is mostly known for his video artworks but also
collage art which is very interesting for me. He started from classical painting and then
evolved into video-performance. In his collage figures are almost always masked and
faceless. He combines some motives instead of faces according to very interesting ideas
and compositions he makes with them.
