    Components of a Computer

    Operating System
    DAS (Direct Attached Storage)
    DAS – Computer has its own storage which is dedicated to its use
    The disks could be inside the server chassis or in an external enclosure
    SAN and NAS Storage Systems
    SAN and NAS storage systems provide shared, centralised storage
    which can be accessed by many devices over a network
    SAN (Storage Area Network) and NAS (Network Attached Storage) refer
    to the type of access and protocols used to access the storage over the
    network – more on that later in the course
