Origin:

HUNAR BAL KALYAN EVAM SEWA SAMITI is a non-profit and development organization. The
organization has been started its development activities three years back in the year 2014
beginning in BHEL Ranipur Haridwar, Uttarakhand to support the children in need with a special
reference to the Poor, Orphanage and Blind Children. The organization has been established by
a likeminded socially aware group include both men and women to serve the children, women
and the larger community. Later this year the organization has been registered to make a
concrete constitutionally approved shape as per the law of the land and registered under
Society Registration Act on dated 6th May 2016.

The organization is working for the cause of human development focusing on the less privileged
sections of the society with the objective to provide experiential learning and vocational training
to empower and develop weaker sections of the society. Our prime focus is on developing self-
dependence in children to enable them to lead more effective and satisfactory lives. Further,
the development of this focus group will help in mainstreaming and integrating them with
immediate community and society at large.

Vision:

Foster a society where the children will get the scope for development in spite of their all
limitations including the PWD (Persons with Disability) children to prove their ability in the
society.

Mission:

Our mission is to alleviate the suffering of individuals and families in the poorest communities
through sustainable grassroots initiative aimed at local empowerment, access to health services
and educational opportunities, in an effort to fulfill basic human right, embracing a spirit of
compassion and service to all humanity.
We support the needy children and their family members for the fullest growth to ensure Child
Rights and grow as a productive and enlighten citizen of our country.

Organizational Objectives:

The role of society is to inspire and motivate children and women to realize their human dignity
and develop their own capabilities and to provide them necessary support & help in the form of
information, advise & financial support.

 To educate and create awareness among children and adults about the importance of
health, hygiene and civic sense.
 To work for tree plantation and pollution control.
 To search talent among under privileged children.
 To provide essential facilities and material for improving art and craft.
 To organize exhibitions so that week section of society can get business.
 To arrange competitions for children to uplift their hidden talents.
 To conserve wildlife.

Area profile: State Uttarakhand:

Uttarakhand is a state of Dev Bhoomi where the greatest and big temples of Hindu religion
called Char-Dham exists. Apart from Temples the state is full of hills, forests and beautiful
natural sites. Uttarakhand was formed on 9 November in 2000 as the 27th State of India carved
out from the northern Uttar Pradesh. Located at the foothills
of the Himalayan mountain ranges, it is largely a hilly state,
having boundaries with China and Nepal in the east. On its
north, it is Himachal Pradesh and South is Uttar Pradesh. It is
a rich state in terms of natural resources water and forests
with many glaciers, rivers, forests and snow-clad peaks and
mountains. Char-Dhams, the four most sacred and revered
Hindu Temples e.g. Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and
Yamunotri are nestled in the mighty mountains. Dehradun is
the capital of the state. It has almost all major climatic zones, making it amendable to a variety
of commercial opportunities in horticulture, floriculture and agriculture. It has a vast potential of
tourism. The state is also rich in mineral deposits like limestone, marble, rock phosphate,
dolomite, magnesite, copper, gypsum etc. Due to availability of minerals there is a growth of
small scale industries in the state. The people are very friendly to the pilgrimage and outsiders
and happy with small assets and consumable goods. This is very brief about Uttarakhand.

District Haridwar:

Haridwar is a place of great importance to the Hindu people. A paradise of nature-lovers,


Haridwar presents kaleidoscope of Indian culture and civilization. The district also termed as a
‘Gateway to Gods’. The followers of Lord Shiva and followers of Lord Vishnu is greatly worships
in Haridwar. As per Hindu religion, King Bhagirath brought the river Ganga from heaven to
earth in order to provide salvation to his ancestors. It has been said that, Lord Vishnu have his
foot print on the stone that is set in the upper wall of har-Ki-
Pouri where the Holy Ganga touches it all the times. The
Hindu people believes that, they can go the Heaven by
getting their salvation after a dip in the sacred Ganga at
Haridwar. The great Kumbh Mela organized all after 12
years and Ardh Kumbh after 6 years here which is very
important for the Monks of Hindu religion. This is the hard
fact relating to Haridwar. This is not only a holy place for
spirituality, but also served as a center of attraction for many
things like learning arts, science and culture. So Haridwar is a destination of all seasons of
pilgrimages, tourists irrespective of religion and the nature lovers. The Rajaji National Park is
just 10 kms from Haridwar which is a unique national park rich in wildlife species and habitat.

children and the youths of the area. This helped them to keep their health sound.

We have been providing training of working and non-working Models to encourage science and
technology among the children.

 Recycling the Waste Material:

One of our major emphasizes is to provide educational training about recycling and reusing the
waste material that can reduce the consumption of natural resources.

 Midday meal support to the children

We have been provided mid-day nutritious meal to all the children to foster their growth and
development.

 Support Education

We have provided books, note books and stationary to the orphanages so that they can
continue their education.
 Handicrafts preparation from Paper & Waste materials

Training has been given to the children on Handicraft Materials made from paper and waste
materials as part of foster creativity among the children.

 Identify hidden potentials among the children
We keep adequate vigilance and find out the hidden potentials among the children. Those
children have been provided scope and help for growth accordingly. The parents of the children
have also been informed to nurture the children so that they develop their potentials.
 Parents awareness program
Parents awareness program is also one of the major activity to aware the parents about
analysing the academic and intelligence status of their own children. The parents have been
guided so that they can take due care of their children at home.
 Environment awareness program
Environment degradation is global problem as on today. We have been awaring the children
regarding environment issues through drawing, handicrafts preparation, waste management
plantation and nurturing of plants and so on so that right from the childhood they love beauty
of the nature.
