THE KING OF INVOCATIONS ‘HOO’

ُٰ ّ has four stages, that is; AllaHoo (ُ‫)للَاہ‬
Invocation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat ‫للَا ہ‬ ٰ ّ ,Lillah (ُ‫)لِل‬
ٰ ّ , LaHoo
(ُ‫ )لّ ہہ‬and Hoo (‫) ہھو‬. It is because, the Divine name ‫للَاہ‬
ُٰ ّ has amazing quality that if its alphabets
are separated one by one, even then it refers to Allah. Hence, it remains Ism-e-Zaat i.e. name of
ُٰ ّ (AllaHoo), it becomes
the Divine Essence in any case. If we separate first alphabet ‫( ا‬A) of ‫للَا ہ‬
ُ‫( ّ ٰلِل‬Lillah) which means ‘for Allah’. Certainly, it is the Ism-e-Zaat, as Allah says in Holy Quran;
ُ‫ض‬ ‫ُّو ّمافّ ا‬
ّ ‫یُاْلّ ار‬ ّ ‫س ٰم ٰوت‬
َّ ‫ّ ٰلِلُّ ّمافّیُال‬
Meaning: Whatever is in the heavens and in the earth is ‘for Allah’.

ُٰ ّ (Lillah), it becomes ‫( لّ ُہہ‬LaHoo) which

Then, if we remove second alphabet i.e. ‫( ل‬L) of ‫لِل‬
means ‘for Him’. It is also Ism-e-Zaat as Allah says in Quran;

ّ ُ‫ہُو ہھ ّوُع ّٰلیُ ہک ّ ِّل‬

‫ش ای ٍئُقّ ّد ایر‬ ّ ‫ُولّہہُا ال ّح امد‬
ّ ‫ک‬‫لّ ہہُا ال ہم ال ہ‬
Meaning: For Him is all the kingdom and glory and He has complete command over everything.

‫) ہ‬. Hoo is, in fact, a

Finally, if third alphabet which is also ‫( ل‬L) is removed, it becomes Hoo (‫ھو‬
pronoun for Allah as is used many times in Quran for Allah’s name.

‫ّیُْلُٓا ّٰل ّہُا َّّْلُ ہھو‬

ّ ‫ُللَاہُالَّذ‬
ٰ ‫ہھ ّو‬
‫ ) ہ‬is Allah, no one is to be worshipped except Hoo (‫) ہھو‬
Meaning: He (‫ھو‬

‫ ) ہ‬is uniquely the king of invocations i.e. Sultan-

Among these four stages, invocation of Hoo (‫ھو‬
ul-Azkar.

TEACHINGS OF SAINTS ABOUT SULTAN-UL-AZKAR HOO

Imam Razi says:

 No doubt! Hoo is Ism-e-Azam. the greatest name of Allah.

Shaikh al-Akbar Mohiyuddin ibn Arabi says;

  ‫ ) ہ‬is the extreme and most elevated invocation of Mystics (Arifeen). (Al-Futuhat
Hoo (‫ھو‬
Al-Makkiyya).

Furthermore, Sultan Bahoo says;

‫ذکراںُراُانتہا ہہو شدُتمام‬

 Meaning: Hoo (‫ھو‬ ‫ ) ہ‬is the final invocation of the true invokers. (Nur-ul-Huda)
 When, due to frequent invocation, Hoo dominates the being of invoker, then there
remains nothing in him except Hoo. (Mehak-ul-Faqr Kalan)

Previously, the spiritual guides used to give invocation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat to disciples in above-
ُٰ ّ ), LaHoo ( ‫ )ُلّ ہُہ‬and Hoo (‫) ہھو‬. They got
ُٰ ّ ), Lillah (‫ُلِل‬
mentioned four stages. That is; AllaHoo (‫للَا ہ‬
Sultan ul Azkar Hoo (‫ھو‬ ‫ ) ہ‬eventually after passing all the basic stages. It was long process, hence
required a lot of time and patience in order to attain Divine closeness. Usually, most of the
disciples could not reach this highest level. Thus, only few chosen seekers would get the Sultan-
ul-Azkar. However, now by the grace of Allah, the perfect spiritual guide of Sarwari Qadri order
Sultan ul Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman is granting the invocation of Sultan-ul-
‫ ) ہ‬on first day of allegiance, by virtue of his unmatched spiritual powers.
