Magic Commander League Rules

Basic Rules

Each league will begin the 1st Wednesday/Friday of each month and end on the last
Wednesday/Friday of each month.

The Commander Leagues on Wednesday and Friday are separate leagues. They are
entered and paid for separately and scored separately. Entering one does not enter you in
the other.

Entry will be $5 for the entire month.

Players will earn 1 point each week for playing and additional points for meeting certain
requirements. Some points will stay the same every week and there will be 5 additional
points that change every week.

All EDH/Commander deck construction rules will be used including banned cards.

Collector’s Edition, International edition cards and anything Gold Bordered may be used if
the deck uses opaque sleeves.

Proxies, playtest, or counterfeit cards are not allowed at all in the league. All 100 cards
in your deck must be official Magic cards. (01/20/16)

Dune-Brood Nephilim, Glint-Eye Nephilim, Ink-Treader Nephilim, Witch-Maw Nephilim, and

Yore-Tiller Nephilim may be used as Commanders. If they are used as Commanders, they
gain the Legendary type.

In addition, cards from the Unglued and Unhinged sets are banned.

Cards with the Conspiracy type are banned.

Games will be assigned in pods of 3 to 5 as the number of players allows.

Two games will be played each week as time allows.

At the end of each night, every player will submit a Fellowship vote. This vote will go to their
favorite opponent that night. What makes them their favorite is up to the player.

Fun and fair play in encouraged in the league. In general decks that make the game
un-fun for other players are discouraged. The golden rule is: Commander is supposed
to be a fun, casual format for everyone.

If a player would eliminate every other player in the game at once (with the exception of one
remaining player) then that player will score the points for eliminating players but then
eliminate themselves from the game and play continues.

It will take 20 poison counters to eliminate a player instead of 10.

Mulligans will be done as follows: Each player gets a “free” mulligan at the beginning
of the game. This means you can return an entire unwanted hand and draw a new 7
card hand. If the hand is still unwanted you can return the hand and draw 6 cards. This
continues with one less card each time until a desired hand is achieved. If the hand
you keep is 6 cards or less, you get to “Scry 1” before starting the game. (1/20/16)

All rules are subject to change by the event organizer.

Prizes will be awarded based on the number of players each month. There will be an
additional prize awarded to the player with the most total Fellowship votes.
