Pavement Technology (M) Sdn Bhd (PTM) was established in 18th April 1995 as a
subsidiary of PPES Works (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd (PPESW) under Cahya Mata Sarawak
Berhad (CMSB) Group.
In 2009, the company was renamed to CMS Pavement Tech Sdn Bhd (CMSPT) and was
acquired by Putrajaya Perdana Berhad. CMSPT was acquired by CMSB in 2011 as a
fully owned subsidiary company.

Objectives of company:
To realize the vision and mission set by the company, CMSPT will:
The purpose of implementing QMS is to provide guidance for the company to make
continual improvement efforts in areas such as customer satisfaction, quality and
reliability of products, processes and services. Those responsible for product, process, or
system quality are given specific authority to:
a) Determine the sequence and interaction of the processes needed to maintain the
quality management system
b) Determine the criteria and methods needed to ensure that both the operation and
control of the processes are effective
c) Measure, monitor and analyse these processes and implement actions necessary
to meet goals and to drive continual improvement
d) Initiate actions to prevent non-conformances
e) Initiate actions to identify, record and correct problems
f) Initiate, recommend or provide solutions
g) Verify implementation of solutions
h) Control further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conformances
i) Represent the needs of the customer in internal functions in addressing ISO
9001:2008 Quality Management System International Standard
There are 3 levels in the system structure of QMS namely Quality Manual (QM),
Process Maps and the Supporting Documents (SD).
Process Maps supports the QM by describing their activities, sequence of procedures and
performance criteria, forms required and work instructions in meeting requirements of
QM to ensure consistent quality contract review, design control, project management
and construction activities conducted by the company.
During the implementation of projects, quality planning will be defined in Project
Implementation (PIP) and Project Quality Plan (PQP). For every project the company is
involved in, PIP and PQP are prepared except for the following condition:
All the SD such as contract documents, drawings, method statements and etc. are
formed by CMSB Group Human Resources Policies and Procedures Manual.
