SPECIFICATIONS AND SCHEDULE OF FINISHES

1: GENERAL:

1.1 The works under this specification in conjunction with the plan and working drawings call for the
complete construction of PROPOSED NICERA GENERATOR POWER SUPPLY, owned by
NICERA PHILIPPINES INCORPORATED, to be located at Lot 46, Block F, Subic Techno
Park, Boton Area, Subic Bay Freeport Zone. This Specification shall apply to every
trade involved and shall be carefully read and complied with by all parties in furnishing materials
and executing work.

1.2 The materials to be used and involved in this work shall be of approved quality, free from defects
that may impair the strength, appearance and proper functioning of the building.

2: EARTH WORKS:

2.1 Excavation - All excavation, including trenches shall be carriage out to the
required lines and grades and shall be examined for correctness by the Site Engineer.

2.2 Filling Materials - Backfill and general fill shall consist of cohesion less or cohesive soils obtained
from excavated materials or borrow pits. All filling materials shall be naturally graded free from
organic matter or other objectionable material.

2.3 Topsoil - Topsoil shall be natural, friable soil with enough humus content to support vegetation and
shall be free from subsoil, objectionable weeds, and other litters.

3: CONCRETE AND MASONRY:

3.1 Concrete shall be composed of Portland cement, Fine and coarse aggregates and water.

3.2 Cement must be of such quality as to meet the standard specifications. Fine aggregates
shall be natural sand free from any injurious amounts of dust, lumps of earth and any
other undesirable elements or crushed stones and coarse aggregates shall be crushed
gravel.

3.3 Mixing of concrete shall be done in accordance with the standard specifications
as prescribed by the Department of Public Works. Used job mix and ready mix concrete for
structural components.

3.4 Reinforcements - Reinforcing steel bars and dowels shall conform to PTS 681-04.2. Grade 40
Intermediate. Tie wire shall be gauge 16, galvanized.

3.5 Slump - Minimum slump shall be 51 mm (2”) minimum and 102 mm (4") maximum.

3.6 All reinforced concrete footing, tie beams, columns and suspended slabs shall be of Class “A”
(1:2:3) 3000psi and reinforced as shown on drawings. No footing shall rest on fill. Second
floor slab and beam shall be ready mix concrete, of class “A” mixture and reinforced as shown
on drawing.

3.7 Ground floor slab shall be laid on well machine compacted sand and gravel fill on class “B”
mixture (1:2:4) and reinforced with 10mm dia. Standard deformed bars at .40 mts. on center
both ways.

3.8 Forms - Forms shall be used wherever necessary to confine the concrete and shape it to the
required lines, or to insure the concrete of contamination with materials
caving from adjacent, excavated surfaces. Forms shall have sufficient strength to withstand
the pressure resulting from placement and the vibration of the concrete and shall be
maintained rigidly in correct position. Forms shall be sufficiently tight to prevent loss of
mortar from the concrete. Forms for exposed surface against which backfill is not be placed
shall be lined with a form grade Plywood.

3.9 Curing - All concrete shall be moist cured for a period not less than seven (7) consecutive
days by an approved method or combination applicable for local conditions. The surface of
the concrete shall be kept continuously wet by covering with burlap plastic or other
approved materials thoroughly intermittent hosing.

3.10 All reinforced concrete hollow block walls shall be no. 6 and no. 4 thick 500 psi and of Class
“B” mixture for filling (1:4) and reinforced as shown on drawings. Reinforcing steel bars and
dowels shall be 10mm dia. RSB spaced at 40cm vertically and every 3 layers horizontally
conforming to PTS 681-04.2. Grade 40, Intermediate. Tie wire shall be gauge 16, galvanized.

3.11 Plastering concrete shall be 1:3 mixtures. Before any plastering is done, the area to be applied
with shall be thoroughly washed of loose particles or mortar. Plastering shall be thoroughly
plain and smooth.

3.12 Structural analysis shall be governed in terms of conflict between these notes and designer’s
notes.

5: ADDENDA:

5.1 The Architect and/or Engineer shall be consulted on conflicts between the plans
and specifications and on the necessary works of materials not mentioned in either plans or
specifications.

5.2 All items not shown in the drawings nor mentioned in the specification but necessary to
complete the construction are by owner’s legal responsibility.
