Hosea Chapter 11 ���

� ‫הֹו‬
;‫ �ו�א�ה�בהּו‬,‫א �ּכי �נ��ר �י���ר�אל‬ 1 When Israel was a child, then I loved
him, and out of Egypt I called My son.
.‫ ���רא�תי �ל�ב �ני‬,‫ּו�����צ�ר �ים‬
--‫ �ה�לכּו ���ּפ�ני�הם‬,‫ �ל�הם; �ּכן‬,‫ב �� �ראּו‬ 2 The more they called them, the more
they went from them; they sacrificed
.‫ �ו�ל�ּפ�ס�לים �י����רּון‬,‫�ל�����לים �י����חּו‬ unto the Baalim, and offered to graven
images.

‫ ���חם‬,‫ג �ו�א �נ�כי �ת �ר���ל��י �ל�א���ר �ים‬ 3 And I, I taught Ephraim to walk,
taking them by their arms; but they
‫ �ּכי‬,‫��רֹו�ע�תיו; �ול �א �י�דעּו‬-‫��ל‬ knew not that I healed them.
.‫�ר��א�תים‬
‫ד ���ח�ב�לי �א�דם �א���ׁש�כם �����בתֹות‬ 4 I drew them with cords of a man,
with bands of love; and I was to them
‫ �ו�א�ה�יה �ל�הם �ּכ�� �רי��י �על ��ל‬,‫�א�ה�בה‬ as they that take off the yoke on their
.‫ אֹו�כיל‬,‫�ל�חי�הם; �ו�אט �א�ליו‬ jaws, and I fed them gently.

,‫�א�רץ ���צ�ר �ים‬-‫ה ל �א �יׁשּוב �אל‬ 5 He shall not return into the land of
Egypt, but the Assyrian shall be his
.‫ �לׁשּוב‬,‫ �ּכי ���אנּו‬:‫�ו�אּׁשּור הּוא ���לּכֹו‬ king, because they refused to return.

‫ �ו�כ���תה �ב��יו‬,‫ו �ו�ח�לה �ח�רב �����ריו‬ 6 And the sword shall fall upon his
cities, and shall consume his bars, and
.‫������צֹו�תי�הם‬--‫�ו�א�כ�לה‬ devour them, because of their own
counsels.

-‫ �ל��ׁשּו�ב�תי; �ו�אל‬,‫ז �ו����י �תלּו�אים‬ 7 And My people are in suspense

about returning to Me; and though they
.‫ ל �א �ירֹו��ם‬,‫�י�חד‬--‫ �י���ר�אהּו‬,‫��ל‬ call them upwards, none at all will lift
himself up.

‫ �א���� �נָך‬,‫ח �איְך �א�� �נָך �א���ר �ים‬ 8 How shall I give thee up, Ephraim?
How shall I surrender thee, Israel?
‫ �א��י��ָך‬,‫�איְך �א�� �נָך �כ�א�ד��ה‬--‫�י���ר�אל‬ How shall I make thee as Admah?
How shall I set thee as Zeboim? My

‫ �י�חד‬,‫�ּכ�צב �א �ים; �נ�ה�ּפְך ���לי �ל��י‬ heart is turned within Me, My

compassions are kindled together.
.‫�נ�כ��רּו �נחּו��י‬
‫ ל �א �אׁשּוב‬,‫ט ל �א �א����ה �חרֹון �א�ּפי‬ 9 I will not execute the fierceness of
Mine anger, I will not return to destroy
-‫ �ול �א‬,‫ �ּכי �אל �א �נ�כי‬:‫�ל�ׁש�חת �א���ר �ים‬ Ephraim; for I am God, and not man,
‫ �ול �א �אבֹוא‬,‫���� �ר��ָך ��דֹוׁש‬--‫�איׁש‬ the Holy One in the midst of thee; and
.‫����יר‬ I will not come in fury.

:‫ �ּכ�א �ר�יה �י�ׁש�אג‬,‫י �א�ח�רי �יה�וה �י�לכּו‬ 10 They shall walk after the LORD,
who shall roar like a lion; for He shall
.‫ �ו�י�ח �רדּו �ב �נים ����ם‬,‫הּוא �י�ׁש�אג‬-‫�ּכי‬ roar, and the children shall come
trembling from the west.

‫ ּו�כיֹו�נה‬,‫יא �י�ח �רדּו �כ�צּפֹור �����צ�ר �ים‬ 11 They shall come trembling as a bird
out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the
-‫���א�רץ �אּׁשּור; �והֹו�ׁש�ב��ים ��ל‬ land of Assyria; and I will make them
}‫ {ס‬.‫ �יה�וה‬-‫ �נ�אם‬,‫����י�הם‬ to dwell in their houses, saith the
LORD. {S}
