3) Product description
DL-ZD3 photoelectric nephelometer can measure relative turbidity of awaiting product and standard sample,
and directly show McFarland value.

DL-ZD3 is of below advantages:

User-friendly, easy to use, result display clearly.
DL-ZD3 adopts cool light source with the advantages of low power consumption and long lifespan.

4) Transportation
Avoid violent vibration in the process of transportation. No collision.

5) Power supply
DL-ZD3, adopting 9V direct current power supply，can use external direct current stabilizer.

6) Position
DL-ZD3 should be placed in dry, ventilated position; avoid direct sunlight.
DL-ZD3 should be kept away from strong electrostatic induction, otherwise it will influence on result.

7) Unpacking
A）after receive the product user has to check its exterior, if it is damaged or displaced display please contact
distributor.
B ） please connect to power after make sure the exterior is Ok. Switch on and check display, if it displays
unclearly or missing certain letters please connect to distributor.

8) Standard sample
It is used to calibrate instrument. 0 turbidity water and light blocking stick is delivered with instrument.
9) Operation
Press “Detect” to activate test function, place sample in test well and press “Detect” again, then instrument
will read turbidity of sample automatically and show its turbidity value.

10) Precaution
A）Before make up bacterial suspension, please select the bottle with no scratches, no stains and with uniform
thickness；
B ） Due to thickness difference of bottle wall, user can measure McFarland concentration from various
angles；
C）Bacterial suspension must be shaked evenly during measuring, especially bacterial suspension with low
turbidity. Error must be exist during measurement if bacterial suspension is not shaked evenly；
D）Please close the cover during value reading；
E）Do not press profile key during operation, otherwise may cause inaccurate value；
F ） The instrument is calibrated before out of factory, so it is unnecessary to calibration again when user
receive it. Please contact manufacturer if there is large error during testing;
G）Restore factory parameters will clear calibrated data, please use this function under manufacturer’s guide,
or do not select this function;
H） Do not use battery

3, Maintenance and service

1) Precaution
A）Various transparent round tube such as glass or plastic material can be selected. Before out of factory it is
calibrated with matched container supplied by manufacturer. Or calibrate again with corresponding
container if measure with other type of container；
B) Container should be put in test well vertically. Do not make it lean；
C）Calibrate instrument again after replace power supply；

2) Maintenance
Do not disassemble instrument. Please contact manufacturer if got problem.
