Dear Reagan Dance Team Officers Selection Committee:
I was blessed enough to be able to laud the quality and character of Brooke Lester
in 2018, and my high opinion of Brooke has only become stronger over the past year. I
have known Brooke since she was sixth grader, and she has always been mature beyond
her years, equally capable of communicating at a high level with both adults and her
peers. I have had the privilege of working with Mrs. Lippincott’s Junior English classes
this year in a series of classroom guidance sessions. Through this experience, I have seen
Brooke engaged in a classroom setting, and she has proven herself to be an insightful and
grounded young lady. When I was approached for Welcome Home Magazine to
nominate 3 juniors for their first Reagan Student of the Month nominees for next year,
Brooke was the first that came to mind.
The most important qualities that Brooke would bring to the Colonel position
would be her dedication, work ethic and sense of duty. Once she has committed to
something, she has a laser-like focus and seemingly inexhaustible reserve of energy to
see that assignment through to the end. She will not rest until she feels her best effort
has been given, and she will be the one that the others count on to make sure all the bases
are covered. Despite her many rigorous courses and high level of involvement, I am
confident that if awarded the Colonel position, it would become her highest school
priority second only to her academics.
Without going into too much detail, Brooke’s entire world has been shaken this
year while dealing with a very serious and stressful family situation. Through it all,
Brooke has surged forward with a positive attitude and her signature commitment to
family and faith first. And in the midst of all her personal challenges, she has performed
at the highest level both in the classroom and in the dance studio. She continues to be the
epitome of what a Reagan student should be and would serve as an exemplary
representative for this campus and for your organization. I hold her in the highest esteem
and have the utmost confidence in her potential. Please contact me if I can be of further
assistance.
