"ON',
When the ignition switch is banery voltage is ap-
plied to both the A,lC switch and to the contacts of the A./C
cut relay.
When both the A/C switch (center switch) and blower
switch are tumed ON, battery voltage and ground are ap-
plied to the A/C relay, energizingit. This relay then ap-
plies voltage from the ADD fuse to both the condenser
fan motor, powering it, and to the ECM. Voltage to the
ECM passes through the thermostat and the pressure
switch, and if they are both closedthe ECM will energize
the A/C cut relay. This relay will then apply voltage to
the compressor'smagnetic clutch, energizing it, and
therebyenergizingthe compressor.If the thermostatde-
tectsan icing condition,or the pressureswitch detectsan
over-pressure condition,then voltageto the ECM will b€
removed.Whenthis occursthe ECM will de-energizethe
A./C cut relay, which will in tum de-energizethe com-
Dressorclutch.

CIRCUITOPERATION
The electronictime and alarm control module operates
the chimeandcontrolsthe timing functionsfor the chime,
the fasten safety belt indicator, the rear window defroster,
and the power door locks. Battery voltageis supplied at
all times to the module from the "ROOM" and "DOOR
LOCK" fuses. Batrery voltage is also supplied to the
module from the 'TURN" fuse any time the ignition
switch is in "ON" or "START". For detailsand usageof
the variousinputs and outputs, refer to the systemsindi-
catedin the schematic.
