Configure DCN over VLAN in TN

***You must login to TN using USB port. Because this process will disconnect front connector (Ethernet)***

1. Disconnect LAN-DCN port from Front Connector

Expand Ethernet from main tree Right click on LAN-DCN 1/7/2 Select Configure

Change Connect To from Front Connector to Unused  Press Save button

Expand Lan Interfaces from Ethernet tree. You will see two LAN ports with same port notification

( In this case LAN 1/7/2 and LAN-DCN 1/7/2)

2. Configure Ethernet Switch

Right click on Ethernet Switch  Select Configure  Select General

Drop the Switch Mode menu and select Provider Mode (802.1ad)

Press Save button. If license warning appear, Press OK.

3. Configure LAN ports (LAN-DCN 1/7/2 and LAN 1/7/2)

Drop Lan Interfaces from Ethernet tree  Right click on LAN-DCN 1/7/2  Select Configure

Drop Connect To menu  Select Port 3 (You can select any port )

Do the same configuration in LAN 1/7/2 and connect to Port 4. Drop Admin Status menu Select UP  Press Save
button

4. Configure WAN port

Right click on WAN port (here AMM6PC, WAN 1/7/100)  Select Configure Select General

Select Port from Connect To drop down menu  Set Admin Status to UP  Press Save button

5. Configure Ethernet Ports

Right click on Switch port 3  Select Configure  From Port Role select CN-UNI  Press Save button

Do the same configuration to Switch Port 4

6. Configure VLAN

Right click on Ethernet Switch  Select Configure  Select VLAN

Click on the Add Row button in right side

New line for new VLAN will appear

Set VLAN ID to 4094  Type Name DCN  Drop down the Ports/Member menu by clicking on line

 Select appropriate ports (Switch ports belongs to WAN, LAn and LAN-DCN)

Select Forward from drop down menu Unregistered Multicast

Select ports to be untagged from drop down menu Ports/Untagged (Both LAN and LAN-DCN ports must be
untagged)

7. Initial configuration – WAN link (When WAN link is unavailable)

Drop NPU card from AMMxxx tree Right click on selected RL-IME port  Select Configure

Select appropriate Packet link from Available Packet Links and press >> to move it to Assigned Packet Links

Press Save button

Now you can see WAN link in WAN interfaces menu
